Slow to get service. Greeted after 5-10 minutes. Sides were fantastic!! Kale with speckled black beans, mixed beans in a sweet savory sauce & the coleslaw with cilantro & pineapple. Pulled pork was not fresh. Nothing was hot. Meat was not fresh. It was like something scooped out of a can that has been in a refrigerator and microwaved. Portions were ok for a lady or child. Don’t come here if your are a good eater and hungry. Pricing is reasonable.

If you like bbq, 2 mins off 95, in Petersburg VA, in a small parking lot behind a bakery, is Saucy’s Sit Down BBQ. Immediately greeted with a cheery, “Hi, welcome in!”, decide whether you want To Go, eat indoors or out on their picnic tables. A cool bar featuring great beer selections, in fact a few from Maine, along with light beers, etc and killer Downeast hard cider is indoors. Tender smoked ribs, smoked chicken tacos, half a bbq chicken, potato salad and cornbread...

The meat and service were excellent. The sides were disappointing. If we go again, we'll buy meat and make our own sides. The sweet bean salad was close to the 3 bean salad. I really like 3 bean salad. But this was sweet and warm. I expected chilled. And the mashed sweet potatos just weren't good to me..it may have been the margarine and/or the sweetness level...

The service was great and we enjoyed the meat for several more meals at home.
