This place use to be sooo good! Came in today for the buffet and the options were slim! Nothing has anyFlavor or seasoning. A lot of corners are being cut. The fish was cut in half straight down the middle. So one piece of fish makes them two. The hamburger in gravy was the size of 50 cent coins. The gravy you can tell was straight out of a Heinz jar. It tasted like it was straight out of the jar no seasoning added at all. For 14.95 more options and some seasoning will make me happy to spend my money. I drove from Richmond with other ppl and nobody at my table was satisfied. The fish had what looks like somebody’s contact lens or the wrapper it came inside of it. The Mac andCheese was burnt. We still was charged full price for the food despite me pointing out the plastic in my food. I had to ask them to take something off which I was given a 10% discount. The damn gratuity is 18% nobody is full or satisfied the place is moreSo for a older crowd

We was at Croaker Spot for 4 hours after a 2 hour ride. They screwed us over. Two blocks later we found Shut Yo Mouf Soulfood. 10 of us a blast. Food was to Good to talk about. We do this again soon

My family took me there for my birthday! It was a fun occasion for me and the food was top notch! I love my food served hot! And mine and my entire family was! The service was impeccable as well ! 5 stars from us!
I went to the Sunday buffet. The cost was $17.95 before tax and tip. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was quaint and inviting. The price was super affordable. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my bill. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Petersburg area.
I ordered turkey wings and omg they were delicious. Reminded me of my mom. The service was excellent. Food came really fast. This a gem now I just need yall to open one in virginia beach.

Celebrated two special occasions after church on Sunday. Called the day before for a group accommodation and the establishment answered right away and was so accommodating. Very helpful and pleasant. When we arrived for buffet brunch we were cheerfully greeted and preparation was all set. The service was exceptional, the food was appealing, hot , delicious and Plentiful. Will be visiting again!

Was there to treat the wife to a good soul food meal for her birthday, because I can't throw down like they can. She had 1-pork chop smothered in gravy, collards, rice/gravy, piece of cornbread and an 8oz glass of Pepsi. I ordered a half a rack of ribs, and got 1/3 rack of ribs, the bones were about the size of BK fries, mac & cheese, collards, piece of cornbread and an 8oz glass of tea. Food and drinks $33.90. But the waitress/cashier said $51 something. And my debit card was $52.27. And I still gave her a $7.00 tip cash money. Was the food good? Hale, to the yeah!! Had a party of 10 coming to town but now I'm skeptical about going back. But other than being overcharged, everything else was outstanding. I would like to see them continue to grow and become a mainstay, all over Dinwiddie and beyond. Maybe they'll show some goodwill and give me a plate to go on the house. Or maybe I'll just put it behind me and say lesson learned.

Went there with a small group of church ladies and made reservations the day before. Because it was close to 65 minutes before closing, not only did they not see the reservations, they didn't bother to seat us or apologize, and maybe they'll make things better the next. They weren't too friendly.

This was my 1st time ordering & I ordered ribs, collards and cabbage. Then the 2nd plate was hamburger on mashed potatoes and gravy with mac and cheese. Both came with cornbread! Everything was amazing! The ladies working there were so nice! I also got the strawberry pound cake….. So good!! Would recommend and do plan to return to try other menu options!

Maaaaaaaan me tell ya…The food was amazing. I had the fried shrimp as an appetizer and was blown away by the seasoning. The service was also amazing.The atmosphere was great, there’s always rnb music playing on the tvs and the decor just adds to it all. Really sad this place isn’t in Greenville SC.
