Wow!!! Completely off the beaten track! This GEM is in a little unassuming strip center. The food was amazing and flavorful! Service was fantastic. It’s a family run operation, and they all give 110%
This location is Permanently closed, but there is another location in Carrollton just before the James River Bridge that is amazing and doing very well. They do seem very busy and fill up quick, so you should call and make reservations if you are driving/coming from Portsmouth. ? ?? ????????????
Flat out phenomenal place to go get a nice bite to eat! Love the tacos and crab dip is to die for. Excellent sweet tea. Will always come back here!!
Everything was so tasty and wonderful! There wasn't a single thing ordered that wasn't delicious. Even the French fries and tea! We had Blackened Tuna Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, and grilled Salmon-melt in your mouth! The waitress said the place has been there since the 1950's. That explains why it's in a neighborhood! Highly recommend!
Second trip... same results. Excellent food...excellent service. Can't wait to see what I'll order next time and what color or waitresses hair will be?

We went for dinner. Food was good and staff was friendly. My husband was disappointed because he was told Cole slaw was homemade and it clearly wasn’t. The “free” crab dip was ok, but I wouldn’t pay for it.
Blackened tuna tacos with a mango pico were the bomb. The chef definitely is on point and a funky lil' waitress made it all the better. Excellent chef... excellent service.
I had the blackened tuna tacos. They were good and the portions were generous. Live music. Catch a Jim Masters show if you can, he's really good (Beatles, some country, some classic rock). On Wednesdays wine is half off. Kind of a dive but the kind of dive that made dives famous.
Tempera shrimp tacos were delicious. Lovely cabbage & pineapple salsa with coleslaw was yummy. Nice quiet restaurant.

I love this place! They have good food, their menu is varied, The chef in that restaurant is very experienced, I love very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the attitude towards the guests is agreeable. I frequently visit this place and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
The first time it was very delicious! The service was outstanding. I plan on going back in the near future.
Amazing hole in the wall right on the water (amazing view with outdoor seating)! And they do online google reservations. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Norfolk area! The food was so good and the service was friendly and great! We even got the the crab dip as an appetizer and it was really good and had alot of crab in it.
Oh my! This place is a hidden Jewel! We just had the best meal from any restaurant in quite a while. Beyond happy, we will be back.
We ordered the clams as an appetizer and the bread they were served with was burnt. The blackened tuna tacos were very overcooked, and the fried fish tacos were undercooked. The side of potatoes was also not cooked enough. The only thing going for the meal was the clams chowder was good. Expensive for what was a thoroughly medicore meal, and I suspect the high ratings come from locals and regulars that like the restaurant because it is there not for the food. We will not be going back.
