They only do take out and there was a line. We got the regular dinner, leg dinner, liver snack, and gizzard snack. Everything was delicious. Chicken were crispy on the outside and still juicy. I love the texture contrast of the liver snack, crispy outside and smooth pate inside. Gizzard snack was crispy outside and a satisfying crunch when chewing on it.

It is still good I had not been there in a long time. Glad the food is still worth waiting for hot, fresh and good.

Good old fashion fried chicken. Plenty of grease in the fried chicken, French fries and hush puppies. Been around a long, long time.

A staple of my childhood, Moseberth's continues to be one of the best fried chicken restaurants in the area. The baked chicken is great as well. Home style southern fried chicken cooked perfectly every time.

I purchased a small bbq chicken snack at the end of the night shift. It was delicious! Customer service was great as since they were closing. It was worth the trip!

Love the food . Just will never come to Portsmouth again until racist Louise Lucas is gone . You all voted her in now you have to suffer .

The chicken had absolutely no taste. Guess they changed something since the show.

Found this place a list of Drive-Ins, Diners, and Dives in Virginia. We were driving through on our way to the outer banks for some R&R. Friday evening and the place was packed and all but one man (older white dude, surprise surprise) had their masks on. The menu is small and simple. We ordered a chicken dinner (dark meat), a snack (white meat), a fish snack, and a side of baked beans. I think we spent $21 total! Its insanely affordable!I was excited for a traditional hush puppy because I haven't had them in a while, but these were sweeter than I expected; the grew on my on me but didn't satisfy my longing. The fish was meh. Basically a deep fried Gorton's cod filet. The chicken was expertly fried, but lacked just a bit of seasoning for me and bae; hot sauce helped. You can tell they keep the grease clean and fresh which is a huge plus for a place that basically fries the whole menu. Overall solid chicken spot. I can see why people have been coming here for decades.

The cashier was extremely nice. However, the portion of chicken gizzards I got is really sad. I ordered a large chicken gizzard dinner, and I got a small gizzard size portion. I asked for hot sauce, and I was charged $.25 for a Jell-O shot cup size liquid that tasted like watered down hot sauce with vinegar. Then she told me that she could pour the hot sauce on my gizzards for free.... Thanks but no thanks. I don’t think I’m going to eat there again

Moseberth's has been around for over 60 years, it was my mother's go to spot to pick up dinner when she did not feel up to cooking for a family of 9. Over the years I left the area and returned in 2012, decided to go to Moseberth's on Saturday for the first time in about 20 years, the ambience, the food, the service was as I remembered it, all good.
