Roger Browns Restaurant and Sports Bar

I've patronized this restaurant several times over the last 2 decades and very rarely would i say it was a good experience. The food is just mediocre at best. And the staff is adequate. I left confused at how a twenty dollar meal ended up costing 30. The place is generally clean with a dark atmosphere. I do remember several appetizers being fulfilling when they had the half price appetizers on a previous occasion.

The Head Chef (Mr D) was sooo sweet and made sure I had plenty of food! food was amazing!! Recommend 10/10! My pic look crazy but I started eating it haha

WAS THERE YESTERDAY FOR A PARTY! FOOD WAS GOOD! THE WAIT TIME WAS TOO LONG! WE GOT NO REFILLS AT ALL AND WAS CHARGED A BIGGGG TIP! WE DID NOT SEE A RECEIPT AT ALL! I LOVE TO SEE A RECEIPT BEFORE I PAY! IT COSTED 84.00 JUST FOR MY HUSBAND AND I TO EAT!

It was 12 minutes after I started counting time sitting at the bar before being acknowledged. Was given an ale when ordered a lager. I drank it, knowingly that thevservice interval was extended. I ordered food; but had to cancel it because the wait was so long that I forgot that I was hungry. It was just as well, because a large group walked by the bar to be seated. It nearly caused me to gag as the smell of those guests was nauseating. It was the smell if Lysol and Fabulosa.

I went to eat there last week and saw a roach crawling on the wall. It was disgusting. And the waitress also told me that there are roaches in the kitchen. Nice to hear

made a reservation online for a Christmas party, 11/8/25, the restaurant was closed monday and then again on tuesday. I called numerous times and finally on thursday, I was able to get the host, she transferred me to James. James stated he did not have our reservation. Lost confidence in this establishment to cater to our needs, very tacky operation. You should not expect much when going to Roger Brown.

Went for a birthday party. Was surprised at how quiet it was for a Saturday night. Had wings and salmon bites as part of the party... they were just ok. Forgot something there on Saturday night, so stopped back there early Sunday afternoon and it was much more lively. Will go back to catch a football game and try something from the regular menu. Will update then.

We were told to eat here from some people we met on the ferry. The place very large but sparsely seated on an early Friday night. Everyone loved their food. The bartender didn't understand the assignment when one of our party ordered an espresso martini. Had to send it back and no one tried to fix it or even come to our table to double check how to make it. Our server was great and did apologize for the poorly made drink that we refused. The pork chop with mashed potatoes and collards was incredible. The restaurant was clean as was the restroom. Overall, we were pleased with our visit. Just wish more attention would have been paid to getting the drink made correctly.

Roger Browns used to have the best burgers I have EVER had in my life. Now… new owners and they no longer serve them. They offer a “smash burger” instead. Not interested and I will no longer be patronizing this establishment.

IT WAS MY HUSBAND RETIREMENT AND BIRTHDAY THE FOOD CAME LATE AND COLD WITH OUT THE SIDES ON MOST SOME NEVER GOT THERE FOOD I JUST FELT BAD BECAUSE THIS WAS A CELEBRATION FOR MY HUSBAND AND HE'S FOOD CAME OUT WITH HAIR ON THE PLATE THEY TOOK IT BACK AND HAD TO WAIT ANOTHER 30MINS AND STILL DIDN'T GET HES SIDES PEOPLE WAS GETTING VERY AGITATED STARTED COMPLAINING DRINKS CAME LATE HAD TO KEEP ASKING FOR REFILLS I GUESS IT COULD HAVE BEEN UNDER STAFF BUT IT DONT JUSTIFY THE FOOD SO IF YOU DECIDE A BIG GATHERING THIS IS NOT THE PLACE THEY TOOK OFF TO ACCOMMODATE BUT NOT MUCH THE WAITRESS WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL I FORGOT HER NAME BUT THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID TO HELP US

My friend brought me here for the 1st time & the experience was just awful. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The dish barely had any grits, was very soupy like & I told the server no ham and there was ham. I stopped eating the dish. As far as my friends dish goes she had a fried platter and the fish she ordered was suppose to be cat fish. That fish wasnt catfish it was an imitation version of that and it was nasty. If youre going to put catfish on the menu put that proper fish on the plate or state it correctly that isn't cat fish but a cheaper version of it. Don't waste your time nor money. Service was also terrible but I wouldnt put the blame on ther server because she was the only one dealing with multiple tables. Management need to step up in this place. I won't be coming back ever.
