All I can say is for a small black owned business yall need to do better, a lot better. The potential to be big in all 7 cities is very high for yall the food is good but the service needs to be better. I have been to both locations before 1 closed down for repairs, but the service is bad at both locations. I like this place but the people yall got running it needs to be replaced cause the need to add gratuity to the check without having the service and food to back it up is crazy work. As black people we need to do better to show the 7 cities that yall are the best at what yall do.

This was a good experience. The food was good and it didn’t take long for it to come out. I had the fish combo and my son had the blueberry pancake breakfast. I didn’t care for one of my sides, which were the Sweet Potatoes. However it didn’t ruin the meal, and my server was very attentive and asked my opinion on them, which I appreciated a lot. I plan on returning to try more menu items.
They charge you tax and a gratuity even if you don't want to tip that much and another fee for paying with a credit card. The food is not the greatest to come back. We like to patronize small businesses, but the added fees are a turnoff.
We came in today yes on Easter passing through after a memorial and I am sooooo disappointed we did $118 later and 2 hours wasted. My family a party of 4 came in at 11:00, seated at 11:15 ordered at 11:30 and received food at 12:30 left at 12:48. This whole experience was not appealing as well as because it was a smaller business on a holiday you would expect a happier experience. They were not busy at all it was empty they had a table of four a table of 6 and a table of 10, then us. Our server Britney didn’t even come over to us until 15 mins after us sitting so of course we ordered everything at once to avoid further delay. She was all over the place and disorganized. We noticed the table in front of us(party of 10) when they received their food they were missing items and had to remake several plates. Then we sat there for awhile then the other waitress asked us if we wanted refills then waited. A party of 3 that came after us was now being served their food. We noticed there was an issue with the french toast and catfish the other server put in front of them. Then they took it back the three servers are then trying to figure it out by the kitchen window and that was actually our food so they then put whip cream and strawberries on the french toast and brought food to our table I asked her verbatim if they just took that food to the table and re dressed it she said no it was only the catfish plate and they are remaking it. I said no I literally just saw it all then walked away. We all were nervous to eat because they other table did touch in the food so that’s what I did not like and I voiced this so my husband ate and myself and my children picked at it. We then see Britney getting the checks together because she avoided coming back to the table the rest of the time and she apologizes to the other table and talks about their check and walks away then puts the check on our table and says cash or card. This was the worst experience and i would highly suggest you to think twice.
First of all, let me say this, my main goal is to support locally owned businesses. Which this restaurant is locally owned! FYI, this restaurant was referred to me by my husband. The food was excellent compared to other breakfast restaurants. Majorly important to me is that my food is served hot, ✅. Secondly of importance to me is being presented a meal that melds together and doesn’t seem disjointed, ✅. Thirdly, a meal that isn’t overly seasoned,✅. Lastly, a meal that is presented to me in an appetizing way by genuine wait staff,✅. This restaurant met all of my criteria. Whenever I’m in the mood to eat out for breakfast, this locally owned restaurant will definitely have my continued support. I was a referred customer, now I’m a referrer🙂
This was my first visit to this restaurant and was graciously greeted by Cindy. Although I only ordered the 2 egg breakfast, it was delicious. Not only will I return to this restaurant for its food but also for the customer service. Our server, Myasia, was attentive to our needs and she also took a few moments to share a brief history about the restaurant upon my asking. Keep up the good work and looking forward to a lunch visit.
Says thay are open, even with the hours of operation is on the door(7am-to 3pm daily, tried to come in at 745 and door was locked and a girl on her phone inside
Workers were very nice and the food was just ok, no seasoning on grits. But, the pancakes were really good. Biggest complaint was the strange bill. No paper receipt and you were literally just told the price, and gratuity is automatically added. I like to see the bill before I pay as it did occur to me it was a lot higher than expected. Was going to ask for a paper receipt but time wise everything took sooo long to get to us and by then we were in a hurry and needed to go. Breakfast price was definitely expensive for what we got. For two basic breakfast and only one coffee was over 42$. Nice people and hope they can work out the kinks.
I'm giving the services a 5 because she was by herself today. But she was very polite every time she came to the table. Food was fresh made to order. Give them a try. It will not disappoint. Just be patient.🙂 It is appreciated. 🙏🙂

This place is a complete waste of time and money. I would have given it zero stars if I could. The food was disgusting, and the chicken tenders were huge and inedible. I don’t understand how they ran out of wings and took 30 minutes to get us seated. When there were four of us at the table, they only gave us two menus and two small plates.
Things got even worse once we were seated. Everyone was walking past us about 10 times, and it took almost two hours for someone to notice us and bring us water and take our food order. I ordered the red velvet pancakes, but our server forgot to put them in and instead gave me regular pancakes when I asked for red velvet. That was just rude.
After we finished our meal, everyone was upset and had stomach aches. To make matters worse, the couple next to us got seated after us and their server took their drink, food, and water order right after they sat down.

My 1st visit there was terrible (Portsmouth Blvd location). We went there because we had previously ordered from the downtown location for teachers' appreciation week.
Something in the kitchen wasn't working. I believe it was the grill. Everything we tried to order that day couldn't be served. We settled on club sandwiches.
2nd visit: A little bit of a wait. Even though it wasn't crowded. Order taken quickly but received a little longer than expected. Also, they didn't have the sausage patty we ordered. We were given the links instead. Our server offered a sincere apology about not being told when our order was placed. The food was good. We will give them another try.
*Sugar packets had crystalozed.due to moisture.
**Ketchup bottles need to be refilled. They swapped our bottle for an equally empty bottle from the next table.
Great place for an early breakfast on weekends!
Came back 1yr later food still delicious. Catfish fried just right golden brown and seasoned to perfection topped with a poached egg. Jumbo Shrimp and grits had me speechless. Jumbo pineapple mimosa. My server Bre was 5stars alone. Great customer service very attentive.
We were visiting the area from out of town and found Yoolks On Us via a Google search. It was close to where we were staying and so we decided to try it. Immediately entering it was freezing. Everyone had on coats and hats. We later learned the heating went out and they had a tech working on it. But this information didn’t come from the waitress it came from a customer. It didn’t seem to matter to the patriots dining there, so we decided to stay. We ordered our food and it came out relatively quick. The food was decent but it lack seasoning. We all ordered grits, however, they were bland as well. No butter at all. My son asked for cheese and they just put it on top. My husband order salmon cakes and they seemed overcooked and he found a bone in it. Some people don’t mind it. Overall experience was good. Some adjustments should be made to seasoning of the foods. Thank you for your hospitality 🙏🏽
