I’ve visited Bombay Velvet twice now, once with coworkers and once with my wife, and we received excellent service both times. The staff was wonderful, taking the time to explain the different drinks and dishes, and even gave us tips for taking great pictures! Their bartending skills definitely match the kitchen's presentation; everything served was very elegant. We tried the Awadhi Goat, Butter Chicken, and the Chicken Lahori as mains, along with the samosas. It was all delicious. We will definitely be back!

Bombay Velvet in Reston is an exceptional addition to the DMV’s Indian dining scene, offering a refined yet approachable experience curated by Chef Rajiv Chopra. From the moment you step inside, the ambience sets the tone—warm, modern décor with a calm, upscale atmosphere that allows you to enjoy your meal without noise or rush. It strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and comfortable.
The menu is not overly complicated, which I appreciate. Instead of overwhelming you with endless options, Bombay Velvet focuses on well-crafted dishes that showcase both authenticity and creativity. Every dish I tried was thoughtfully presented and full of depth and flavor.
Must-Try Dishes: Bhatti Ka Tandoori Chicken, Nutty Corn, KebabMangalorean Kori Gassi,Lucknowi Nalli Korma, Old Delhi Butter Chicken 28,
The service deserves special mention—attentive, warm, and professional. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and eager to help with recommendations. Both times I visited, the hospitality was consistently excellent, which says a lot about the restaurant’s standards.
Overall, Bombay Velvet stands out as one of the best Indian restaurants in the DMV area. The combination of high-quality ingredients, exceptional execution, inviting ambience, and outstanding service makes it a must-visit. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian flavors or looking for a more elevated dining experience, Bombay Velvet delivers on every front.

It was so good. We went here because it was me and my husband's wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. We are vegetarian and it is kind of difficult to find restaurants that are suited to us. But this one was perfectly suited. We took two starters, a naan, and a jackfruut masala curry. All of these dishes were phenomenal!! The corn soup was super delicious and the soya chaap was mouth watering. We took the black dust naan and it was good. Normal. We also took a paratha of some sort. It was worth it! It was really good. Then, we took the nimish dessert. Man it was good!!!! They served it on a plate of real rocks and pebbles, and the nimish itself was so good! It was airy and delightful!!! It was also seved with nuts and gummies which was also really good!! Then the waiter comes and he gives us malai in a wine glass which was also really good presentation. Then he lit the candle on the malai!! He also wrote happy birthday on the plate! And the malai was a complementary dessert as it was my husband's birthday!! How awesome is that! Also, hats off to our waiter! He was really nice and gave us really good food suggestions! Overall, this restaurant was awesome!!!!
