I opted for the Blackened Ahi Tuna, and it was a true masterpiece. The tuna was perfectly cooked, with a flavorful blackened crust that gave way to tender, succulent flesh. Each bite was a symphony of taste and texture, leaving me craving more.Overall, Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant exceeded all expectations. I have not gone to Cooper's Hawk and sat in the main dining room area for quite a while. Normally I sit in the bar area because of the service and ambience. But Matthew has changed my whole outlook on going back to the dining area. Well, he was so attentive and helpful during my time at Cooper's Hawk. He made sure to get us wine when we asked, he got all of our appetizers, he was very flexible and made us feel like we were his top priority even though he probably had 4 other tables at least. If you go to Cooper's Hawk, make sure you ask for Matthew because you'll have a wonderful experience and feel like you're a VIP in the restaurant!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant some time ago to commemorate a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, which exceeded our expectations, and we appreciated the recommended wine that paired well with the food. Even the dessert was delicious, especially S'more Budino, which was outstanding. We loved all aspects of the restaurant, including its unique elements, such as the wine casks displayed and the wood tones throughout the place.Kid-friendliness: A separate kids' menu for kids 12 and under is available.
We came in today for our wine tasting and had a great time at Coopers Hawk in Reston.The atmosphere is wonderful and the team at the Tasting Room are attentive, friendly and welcoming. Richard was our server and he was amazing.

On 3/13/24 my mother treated me to lunch for my birthday at this location. Coopers Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants and we made the hour drive to this location. I’ve dined at several Coopers Hawk locations (including this one) and always ordered the braised short rib entrée. It’s been a consistent dish and never disappointed, until this day. The entrée came to the table and looked noticeably different and dry. I tried to cut the meat and it was very tough. If you are familiar with their short ribs you can “cut” them with a fork. I immediately informed my waiter who offered to make me something else. I really wanted the short ribs and took the meat mishap to be a fluke. 20 minutes later (my mother has now finished her meal) I am given a new order of short ribs which were not as dry but still tough. The waiter never came back to ask was everything ok with the new short ribs, nor did a manager ever visit the table. Had someone asked I would have informed them. Instead, once I got home I went to Coopers Hawk’s website and notified them via their site of my experience hoping that it would be addressed. Unfortunately, it has been over a week and no response. For a restaurant of this caliber I expected more. I’ve received better service and addressing of concerns from Chili’s. I’ll be choosing another restaurant to celebrate special events in the future.

Experience was very good at this location as always. Tonight we attended for a birthday celebration with friends.Our wines all tasted great, and our appetizers and dinner courses were all prepared well. Our table of 6 we ordered the Brussels and the lettuce wraps. The Thai chili sauce on the lettuce wraps was excellent!Main course we only heard one complaint that one of the steaks was cooked a little more than requested(med rare, was more like med/med well) , but not worth sending back. We had fillet mignon, seabass, salmon, and the seafood pasta. Flavors on every dish we're excellent as expected!Dessert was quite disappointing. We Ordered the reeses brownie to share and it was like a hockey puck. A second was brought out and it was basically the same consistency. Neither got eaten by our table.Service was also excellent, our server was attentive but not overbearing,overall added to our experience.We will be back but definitely recommend avoiding the reeses brownie cake until they can figure out how to prep it.Parking: Plenty of parking free for 3 hrs in the garage behind the restaurant.

We had such a great experience here! Went out for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious. So delicious that we forgot to take pictures! ? Seafood risotto with shrimp and scallops was very flavorful and filled with veggies. My husband said his cheeseburger was very juicy.But the best part of our experience was an absolutely amazing service by Sam W. She was so attentive and polite. It has been a while since we had such a great service at a restaurant.We will definitely comeback and specifically ask for Sam again! ☺️
