It's always been one of my favorites. The restaurant is quite pretty. Most tables nicely spread apart for conversations. Service is always good. Waiters are fun and engaging. Sushi delicious. Fresh. Together, the whole experience is quality!
We've eaten here many times over the years. The last few times, the last in particular, were discouraging. My wife started with a Caesar salad with gem lettuce and way too much garlic. OK. Not outstanding at all. I had the ceviche. It was pretty good, frankly: The highlight of the evening. As a main, my wife had the baked oysters. They were really not very good. They tasted like local oysters that were cooked, and were kind of acidic. Ick. The server had the cost waived;...
Service was excellent. Ambience is a bit bizarre and not very refined. Sushi was amazing, calamari was excellent along with the warm donuts, cocktails and crab soup were okay. However, the Tandoori Spiced Salmon dish was absolutely awful & not even the rice was cooked properly and caused severe gastrointestinal issues afterwards.
