The surroundings are simple, but the food and service are fantastic. The gourmet level meals are presented beautifully, and the menu changes frequently so there is always something new to try. I can guarantee you will see meals you've never had before. There aren't a lot of tables, but they are spaced out so you have privacy. Reservations recommended, especially on weekends. Street parking.

We went for our anniversary and they were very sweet to give us samples of wine and champagne. The food was interesting and excellent. The combination of flavors of the entrees was imaginative and savory. We had the scallops entree and the crispy chicken entree. It was amazing and unlike any other dish we’ve eaten anywhere!! Our server was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about every detail of the menu and wine list. We had the banana flan which was ok - I wish we had tried the pound cake. The only drawback we had were the uncomfortable chairs. After about an hour, we had to stand up. The bar chairs might be more comfortable.? But a 5+ on the food!!!!

We went to Alewife for Restaurant Week and had a fantastic experience. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding, the service was quick, and it had great ambiance. In particular, we were impressed by their handling of dietary restrictions: we had questions about which menu options would be suitable, and our waiter had a useful cheat sheet on hand where he was able to quickly point out exactly which items were gluten and dairy free (and there were plenty that worked)! We will definitely be coming back.

For a nice dinner with my partner in crime I fully expected to pay what we did, but for $145 I shouldn’t fee like we were in the back corner of a coffee shop. Were we sat, should not be a table. Despite my lady friend looking great, this was my view. Complete with an extension cord and a metal wire casing that led to a bulky outlet right near her legs.

Food was great though! It’s funny however that they think they are too fancy to have Heinz ketchup bottles on the tables though. I asked for some ketchup and I watched our server go to the counter and squirt some from the bottle onto a plate and bring it to us ?.

Outstanding service and food. We come here each year from Raleigh and Alewife is one of our favorite restaurants. Rotating menu and fun cocktail menu. Lively service. This is a can't miss spot.

Did not meet my expectations. Was exited to try due to many positive reviews. As a new customer I did not expect a whole fried fish as my appetizer. The menu made no mention of it nor did the server. I think the menu needs more clarity. Also was not satisfied with the size of my portions. I guess I expected more.

We came here for our anniversary and had an absolutely amazing experience! Our server was lovely, the food was local, fresh, and delicious, and the atmosphere was lively yet cozy. The staff are very accommodating to dietary preferences and super friendly. We got the Siren’s Song, which was a lazy Susan with chef’s choice of small plates, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The bottle of wine we had knocked it out of the park and was a wonderful accompaniment to our meal. I highlighted it on the wine menu picture and highly suggest it!

?will be going back!

Vegetarian options: Multiple delicious veg options!

Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to dietary restrictions, although not listed on the menu.

Love coming here for a date night, we always leave happy with our experience. The menu changes weekly, which is fun but they don’t always update the menu online. Some menu items only last for a day, which sucks to miss out on. However, I’ve always been satisfied with my meals here. My favorites have been the artic char, wagyu beef, assortments of fresh oysters, and side potatoes! One menu item that I am happy has stayed so long is the cocktail called material girl, it’s phenomenal. Definitely make a reservation, or walk in closer to open time to snag a seat. The valentines special they do is also worth dining for!
