To our regret, food continues to be uneven. Wonderful setting, good service though

Awesome meals Oysters, salad, and Green beans great appetizers! Crab cakes, shrimp, lamb and pork were incredible! Chef Will came and shared his expertise and love of what he is doing!! What a beautiful evening!!
Appreciate good vegan options. The crispy cauliflower, in particular, was incredibly good.
Food was very good. Service was superb. But noise level was unbearable. Not a place for a romantic dinner. Regrettably, coffee tasted like Nestle instant coffee. Will return, may be for lunch.
This is an upscale fine dining place. Everything was great but the lunch time crowd's conversations was very loud.. the view is great but the glass bounces the sound. Going not during rush hour would help
Great dining experience today at the museum. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend for a special lunch out. Not inexpensive but well worth the trip.
Brought my granddaughter for her birthday to see the Frida Kahlo exhibit and had dinner at Amuse. Everything was perfect. They even had menus made specifically with my granddaughters name.
Always a wonderful experience. Ann and I had guests from Key West and they loved the VMFA and lunch at Amuse —-
Food was prepared with a Mexican twist in celebration of the Frida Kahlo exhibition. Our party had all seafood entrees and they were all fresh with delicious traditional Mexican moles and salsas. Cocktails were inventive and also had a Latin theme. Service was friendly and fast. Our server made good recommendations. What a pleasure to spend the day at VMFA, seeing a wonderful exhibit and enjoying a well prepared, delicious lunch. So much better than the Smithsonian experience in DC.
While I've visited Amuse many times in the past, I was a little disappointed at the selections offered on this occasion. I hadn't reviewed the menu prior to attending and this was to my detriment in that the menu was not to my taste and I found it very difficult to find a selection that appealed to me.

One of the most underrated restaurants in Richmond. Every revolving menu has been great, but this Frida Kahlo inspired menu was phenomenal. The oysters, potatoes, crab cakes and lamb were amazing.
Service was horrible. It took over 30 mins before we saw our server. Our server recommend a special but never told us the price. When my drink came my friend tried to ask a question and was dismissed. The only good thing about the restaurant was Miss. Liz the host she was very pleasant. Our server was Max.
Fancy, artsy, wonderful views. Although the decor is rather sparse, there’s a wall of windows overlooking fairly spectacular lawns, gardens, sculpture and architecture below. The Cuisine is New American and not extensive, but they have a full bar and decent list of wine and beer. Unfortunately, the happy hour offerings from Bruton reduced to one wine, one beer, and no food. [March 2025]
