Lovely Lunch Spot at the Museum. Missed out on the Ramen bowls, but the salad and chicken were great options.

Our favorite place to eat in Richmond, and one doesn't have to be a VFMA member to dine. This is a Michelin star worthy restaurant...not for a cheap fare...go and enjoy all it has to offer, to include a fine wine list and well stocked bar.

I took a friend for his birthday for lunch yesterday. He had the fried catfish sandwich and I had the rockfish. The bun on his sandwich was completely burnt and the french fries were lukewarm and limp. I saw the burnt bun and tasted the fries as soon as they were served. He was too polite to say anything, and I didn't want to make a fuss on his birthday. The rockfish was very good, and so was the bread that came with the meal. We both had the Basque cheesecake, which was not really true Basque cheesecake - it was just flat dry cheesecake and the lemon sauce was too sparse to save it. I spent $130 for that lunch (with tip) and I feel like it was not worth that much money. I went to the restroom afterwards and heard 2 different women from 2 separate parties commenting that the quality at Amuse had declined, and I have to agree.

My second time being at amuse and enjoyed myself as much as the first time. The food is good and properly proportioned. Definitely a great ambience being in the VMFA. Nice place to have a nice meal and enjoy the fancy ambience.

The vegetable quiche I had was delicious-fluffy and rich and very satisfying! My friend had the cauliflower curry soup and she gave me a taste-it was superb! Creamy and the spice was spot on. We lingered at the table and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves'

Five star service for four of us who ate brunch on Sunday. The server was adept at describing menu items. She and team members brought our entrees to the table. We frequent diners enjoy Amuse for his food, ambience and service.

The server didn't listen and brought out the food separately rather than my appetizer and fries which were my main course, as I said when ordering arrived early and I had to ask where the other meals were and she hadn't placed them yet. I waited and ate cold fried oysters and fries. Both my favorite at Amuse. I was disappointed. She was pleasant enough, but just didn't listen.

One of our many visits to Amuse and it did not disappoint! The food items were delicious. My steak was slightly overdone but that's forgivable! Bespoke alcoholic beverages were superior! We always enjoy our time there and will return!

The food was excellent. Amuse sits a top the VMFA, and has a beautiful courtyard view a mass with beautiful, greenery and sculptures to enjoy during your meal. Service is five star and the chef is not only a culinary master, but creates art on the plate as well.

Always a fan of Amuse, my latest visit reaffirmed my love for this gem of a restaurant. Last night, despite the bustling atmosphere of a full house and a private party, the team at Amuse was nothing short of amazing. They managed to keep everything running smoothly, a testament to their skill and dedication. The bar was on point, crafting drinks that perfectly complemented the evening's offerings. But the real standout was the food from the kitchen, which was exceptional even by Amuse's high standards. On such a busy night, this was particularly impressive. The special curry cauliflower soup was a delightful start, with just the right balance of flavors to whet the appetite. The pear tartine followed, a beautiful combination of flavors that was both refreshing and satisfying. And the chicken thighs were the highlight of the meal—flavorful and perfectly prepared, they melted in the mouth. Amuse continues to impress with its culinary excellence and outstanding service. Nights like these are a reminder of why it's a favorite for so many. The team's ability to deliver such high-quality food and service, even when at capacity, is truly commendable.

Smallish menu but covered all the bases from vegan to gluten free. Food and drinks were great, as was the service and ambiance. It is definitely going on my “must go again” list!

Delicious lunch in a lovely setting! The cauliflower soup was creamy and satisfying on a chilly day and the spinach salad had just the right amount of dressing and toppings of walnuts and cheese. Perfect spot for lunch with friends after a visit to the museum.
