Meat was cooked very well and very tasty. Lamb shank fell right off the bone .Hummus and baklava were delicious as well. Only holding back on five because the chickpeas were in a lot of water and lacked flavor and the 'side salad' had way too many white onions.

I can see reviews from everyone who loved your chickpeas but I couldn’t find it in my delivery even though I added it to my Uber Eats order. Please read through the orders carefully.

Just ate with my family right now. I’m honestly shocked at how this place has 4.7 stars. Completely awful food, rice tasted oily , stale and definitely was NOT afghan rice. Thanks for bringing out white sauce and the chickpea after the food was finished. Definitely a NO go. Save your time and find another place.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! This might be my favorite food in Richmond. It is SO delicious. I probably eat here ~once a week, and crave it even more often than that. Make sure to get the Qabeli topping on your rice. I cannot emphasize enough how delicious this place is.

Great place to eat. Small, but clean and friendly. It's in an awesome location filled with shops all around.

Total ripoff - I got a platter to go for ~$18 and when I got home I found almost no chicken and just a pile of rice with some iceberg lettuce. Would never go back.

First time. Omgosh it was good! Chicken and beef kabob. Chicken was WAY to spicy for me, but friend loved it. Beef was ok. The spinach was SO good, albeit a little salty. The salad was, uh, big pieces, not really a salad. But the brown rice. Palaw he called it. Never in my life have I gasped when tasting a bite for the first time. The flavor shocked me. It was bright. It lit up my taste buds. I've never tasted anything like it.

Everything is sooo delicious here. Any time I’m in Carytown, I always have to stop here to grab some food. I’ve always had the chickpeas and now I can’t have them cooked any other way.

I was visiting Richmond last weekend and had an unpleasant experience at this place. I ordered 2 servings of chicken kabob for takeout and drove almost 30 minutes. I found this place very stinky with a rank smell and the food quality was poor ( rice was smelling awful appeared to be cooked in used oil for other dishes and raw chicken breast). Though I did not returned the food and trashed but recommend the owner to focus on food quality and hygiene.
