Amuse is one of our favorite restaurants in Richmond, Virginia for many reasons: First and foremost is the excellent food prepared by Chef Will Burgess and his staff. My wife and I dined there 2 nights ago; we had an interesting, delicious asparagus appetizer, her salmon entree was perfect, and I had the most delicious vegan entree I have ever had; it was a harissa mushroom dish with an incredibly amazing light sauce. The service and ambiance are also always wonderful.
Amuse was the perfect lunch spot on Valentine's Day. We were seated right by the window, which was a nice surprise. The service was excellent and food was perfect from start to finish. The special raspberry/rose soda made in house was delicious! Highly recommend andding Amuse to your plans when you visit the VMFA.
Very much enjoyed our dinner. The beet salad was phenomenal and recommend it as a starter to anyone. I had the scallops as well for dinner, 5 good sized scallops with a delicious sauce. Fries as a starter, a little out of the ordinary but turned out to help fill us up!! Excellent food, great service, will be back. My only complaint is the noise volume when it is busy. Ceiling baffles might help.
