Group of five went to restaurant while traveling and sat together on 8/31/23. You have to use QR code and order via app to send to kitchen. All of us ordered and waited for food. In meantime I sipped hot but not great coffee and watched a silverfish crawl around the wall of the mostly empty restaurant. Three people got their food in reasonable time and ate and finished their meals which they reportedly enjoyed. Two of us continued to wait but never received our orders. After 25-30 minutes we were finally approached about meals and friends said food was good, but two of us were still waiting. The lady who cooked food spoke very loudly and stated she never got tickets for our orders and we must have done it wrong. She checked our phones and claimed that only one of us appeared to have done it correctly and accused me of not ordering although I showed her my card had been charged she didn’t seem to understand that meant order was processed. She continued to deny getting tickets and We told her we really needed to get back on the road and didn’t have time and asked for refund which she said she couldn’t do And no managed was on duty. She went to get receipt paper to write down our information and then exclaimed that the printer was out of paper and that just be why our tickets didn’t come out. She then repeatedly apologized and said she could make food but we needed to Leave and couldn’t wait any more. She wrote down our information and stated that she’d personally make sure Managed attended to this issue and refund us asap. I never heard back from anyone and did not receive refund for food I never ate.

Visited on Father's Day for a quick breakfast with my husband before he had to head to work. Never heard of the restaurant but was happy to see it was close by & in the cut so not many people even knew it was there. I was hoping it would be a hidden gem. Also, seems to be black owned so was happy to support! We arrived and only two guests were there. It was an order & checkout from your phone process. Waiter only came out to bring water and the food. We ordered & 20-30mins later food arrived. The food was ok but a little on the greasy side. (Ordered omelettes, bacon, & potato meals) The pancakes tasted as if it was cooked on the same grill as the meat. Overall we were satisfied with the food but due to the service I probably won't return. When I placed the order I indicated I wanted one meal to go. We ate and still had to wait an additional 30+ mins to get an omelette meal (hour & a half from ordering). During our wait there were other dine in and to go order guests and I did notice only two people were on staff that day. Yet, the wait was ridiculous. At one point saw the waiter bring food to people who arrived after we finished eating. And didn't communicate why our order was so delayed. Only thing I could think of is they skipped over our order for others. I did hear the chef tell the customer that they weren't expecting it to be a busy day and they we're running out of ingredients. I'm understand things happen but it wasn't that busy. You can just tell the business wasn't prepared to be in demand. So I can only recommend on a regular weekday if you're in the mood. If it's a holiday or weekend it might not be worth the wait.

Found this searching Yelp for somewhere to stop for breakfast before heading back to Chesapeake. Little tough to find and first time I used my phone to order but the food was outstanding and customer service was excellent. Will be back.

The time was a little confusing in terms of when it opens or close, there should be an update on google but the food is well worth it! Staff is friendly and the fries are really good! They might be a little pricy but it’s well worth it. I got full from half the plate.

About a 1-1.5: DA' Best Damn Breakfast is located inside A.M. Kitchen, which is part of a small plaza off of Amberdale. They are supposedly known for their homemade southern biscuits and their biscuit sandwiches, so we decided to stop by to try them out for breakfast. We ordered:+the Chicken Biscuit - biscuit with Anniebell's oven-fried chicken boneless breakfast; the biscuit itself was more on the dry end, albeit being very thick; the chicken was also dried and really didn't have any flavor or seasoning; you'd definitely had to add something to it, like honey or hot sauce+Biscuit of the Sea - with a Sonia Salmon croquette cake - or, at least that is what it was stated to include; however, it was a a piece of fried catfish; pretty disappointing, as I wanted to try the croquette; the catfish was thin and fried well, with a nice batter; it was bland, so adding hot sauce made it betterUnfortunately, the food was pretty underwhelming, in addition to being inaccurate; not sure if the menu just needs to be updated in terms of what is being included in the biscuit or if it was a kitchen error.Note that there is no signage of the biscuit place anywhere around or inside of the restaurant - we only found out by asking the staff. You also don't do in-person orders, as they only do tablet or mobile orders - be ready to scan the QR code to see the menu and order on your phone.I'm glad I was able to check this place out, but definitely a disappointing one.Plenty of street parking.+located inside A.M. Kitchen+inaccurate orders and/or menu desriptions+bland proteins+order with your phone or on the tablet+plenty of street parking

Ok. This place was amazing. Biscuits are delicious and mimosas were spot on. We WILL be back. Staff is very friendly. A unique way of ordering, which is super convenient. I didn't take a picture of the biscuit, which I should have.

When it comes to morning biscuit sandwiches, this place is the best. Their thick, soft biscuits say it all. This food is excellent. I ordered the chicken biscuit with a fried egg, filling it. It takes a hungry person to consume this bud it. Their food isn't for the faint of heart. You have to be hungry to order from here.I recommend everyone to experience this hidden gem.
