Group of five went to restaurant while traveling and sat together on 8/31/23. You have to use QR code and order via app to send to kitchen. All of us ordered and waited for food. In meantime I sipped hot but not great coffee and watched a silverfish crawl around the wall of the mostly empty restaurant. The food was great! The servers were attentive, but it took quite a while for the food to come up although it wasn't that busy.
Overall, I would go back again.

Bite Me is a hidden gem with minimal signage and a unique ordering system. The restaurant is good for those who prefer minimal interactions. The breakfast biscuits are delicious, especially on Tuesdays with a great deal. It may not be the easiest place to get food, but the food quality is excellent. The service is mediocre with a strip mall ambience, but they offer high chairs and outdoor seating. The cobbler pancakes are excellent, while the blueberry pancakes have a homemade vibe. The egg and fried green tomato dish has a strong flavor, and the hot house chicken sandwich is well-spiced. However, the cheese grits are not recommended. Overall, the restaurant offers fresh, home-style cooking with a good fried chicken option. The menu has great options, like the Chesapeake omelette with shrimp & crab, which is packed with flavor. The comfortable interior and outdoor seating make it a great spot for a meal.
