Tried this spot on Discover Richmond food tour and just fell in love with the chicken! So juicy and the seasonings are so different- no sauce needed (but the Mumbo sauce is bomb). The French toast was so good you literally have to stop between each bite and they make the syrup in house. The staff were so friendly too!

Ordered chicken tenders with spicy ranch and honey mustard with slaw. I opted for the slaw to be healthier as the other option is fries. Wrong choice, the slaw has absolutely no flavor. The chicken tenders themselves were pretty good, very nicely seasoned albeit a little salty. For the sauces, the honey mustard was amazing. It was sweet, almost like honey butter. The ranch was not spicy at all, they might’ve given me the wrong ranch though. My boyfriend liked his chicken sandwich but agreed his slaw was also tasteless. The service was fine, I like the fact that they text you when your order is ready. There’s plenty of places to sit.

The fries and the chicken tenders were extremely hard. It took a long time for the food to be ready and nobody was waiting in front of us. The server didn't give us the sauces we asked for and then we went back to get them and they said they were out. It was a major disappointment compared to what we'd had at grace street.

Tenders and fries are always great. I sometimes like to get the Tenders & French toast bread pudding (sometimes they forget the caramel maple sauce that's supposed to come with it, that or they were out and just don't tell you). Other than that the food is great.

Everything was delicious even down to the ranch sauce
I've been to Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Atlanta, and many other great places where fried chicken is known to be good, and having had the OG and the Smashville, I can tell you this place has the best fried chicken sandwich that I've ever had. And the fact that they are in this awesome food hall just makes the experience so much more worth it. If you haven't been to Hatch Local yet, I highly recommend you come and get a sandwich ASAP!

Amazing chicken sandwich. The Hatch cafe brings an awesome vibe to the area and this was the first spot I wanted to try. Everything about the sandwich was well executed and the fries and sauces paired perfectly. The service was friendly, ordering and pickup were dead simple. And they're open on Sunday. Do it.

I loved the atmosphere of hatched local in which B and H is located. Food was great. The Mac n cheese was a hit with my daughter and I loved the taste as well it was smooth southern taste not too over did but not bland at the same time. I had The OG, This was my 3rd chicken sandwich in my whole 46 yrs, I choose that over Chick-fil-A any day. I actually look fwd to going back. O and I love their spicy sauce and ranch….finger licking good. I wait staff was pleasant. Only issue was one employee intentionally gave me cool fries…a lil disappointed but he apologized and fixed me a fresh batch. Smh besides that they woulda got a 5 stars. Def going bk tho and bringing friends and now I will ask for fresh fries every time.
