Upon visiting the Capital One Cafe, I encountered a disappointing lack of customer service. Despite waiting for 15 minutes without acknowledgment, the staff member at the counter seemed disinterested and unresponsive to my presence. A simple gesture like informing me of their availability would have made a difference. As someone from out of state, I had hoped to return to this cafe in the future, but this experience has left me uncertain about revisiting.

I LOVE this place, however, not just because of the coffee (try the lavender iced chai! My Favorite! It’s almost dangerous…!) The service is amazing and it’s always clean. I can’t the same for some places in Richmond…The employees are always so attentive and friendly! The barista that helps me most often is this dark haired girl with glasses. She’s so sweet and hardworking. And always makes my drink the best. I almost only go there just see her, she’s that great! Thanks, Krim!

When you think of coffee, capital one cafe should be the FIRST place that comes to mind. Going in to get my normal order of a mocha comes with IMPECCABLE tulip art from my favorite barista, I think her name is Kim? She even spelled my name correctly, which is always a plus. But honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. I'm jonesing for a cuppa just typing this!

I don't come here for the banking, just for the occasional coffee and study session. In those aspects, this place is great. If you have a Capital one card you get half off drinks. The lattes are not anything to write home about, but still good, especially with the half off deal. There are 2 floors and plenty of seating and outlets. The atmosphere is very bright, well lit, and comfortable. I feel more productive whenever I come here.

Overall, I will say; this place is a little overpriced for what you are getting. The environment is great for study but it can be pretty loud if you don't have headphones in. The best time to come in while others are at work (often during work hours so 9AM - 12PM) and late evening (starting around 5pm to 6pm). Coming during lunch and when everyone is back from school is when it will be a bit harder to find seating. This isn't the worst place I've been. I like it for what it is. But the food is not very good and the food is unreasonably overpriced. I suggest getting yourself something small like something from the bakery and a coffee. The coffee is okay but nothing to write home about. The service was not very good and my cashier/barista was unresponsive and didn't even acknowledge me. I get it, they were busy but a welcome would have been fine.

I love the little study rooms but it is so embarrassing to be on a call and the lights are turning off every 5 minutes because I am not waiving my hands all around. I wish they would adjust that sensor.

I have come to this Cap One Cafe location for several years - often up to five times a month or so. I have stopped coming as frequently - now only a few times this past year or so - because of their menu change. They are no longer affiliated with Peet's, which is what it is - but the price of an iced chai latte increased while the size decreased. Even with my Cap One card discount, it would only cost a dollar more to go elsewhere and support a local coffee shop. The atmosphere is great and I work remote so I would love to take advantage of it more often, but it's just not worth it anymore.

Stood in line for about 15 minutes. The ladies behind the counter never acknowledged the people in line. No one's order was taken. Eventually we all bailed and went somewhere else.

Very disappointed by the food - this is not the place to go if you're hungry. Coffee is okay, but the guys working didn't want to be there. Didn't help when it took 10 minutes to get a bagel, and the guy who did it came wheeling the cleaning bucket and mop into the kitchen to then get the bagel (this is what motivated writing the review - seriously not a good look). Opened my computer to just get to work (they do have lots of seating options), but the wifi didn't even work. The best part was that they were filming with a whole camera crew. Not the place I'd want to highlight with all the other incredible cafes around. Fled to @Roastology - incredible vibes, much better (and cheaper) food, and strong wifi!

There is no surer sign of capitalism’s cultural victory than this absolute capstone of Western financial and culinary dominance. It’s a bank and it’s a cafe - the two are one, and yet remain conceptually distinct (a concept Christian theologians have grappled with for millenia). Marx would’ve issued a formal apology and retraction of Das Kapital if he’d lived long enough to see the construction of this world wonder. 10/10 would recommend.

Ella was so helpful in sorting out my banking issues. Amazing service She helped me streamline my accounts, explained why my transfers showed a different number at the other bank, and suggested changing savings to a higher interest rate. Ella was patient, professional and very kind.

This place provides a great chill atmosphere, great for meeting with acquaintances, having brunch, or just hanging out. I've heard that it definitely helps to have a Capital One credit card when you purchase. Otherwise, the food is a bit on the pricy end of things. The employees are friendly and helpful, the food is great and offers healthy options.Parking: There is 3 hour street side parking nearby but it is seldom available. There is a parking garage across the street. Not sure how much it costs.
