Authentic Italian and the cook is from Sicily who came over to NY before coming down to us in Richmond. I was killing time with my dogs getting groomed in the center at DogKrazy and well...my wife works in the wine biz so w a name like Chianti I had to check things out. I was set on pizza--I mean come on, Sicily and New York?!! But when a saw the Veal Parmigiana as a lunch special, I shifted gears. The service here is top-notch--very kind and genuine people. OMG--the focaccia...
First time customer a week ago, just an excellent operation, the food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding with that authentic, family feeling. I’ll be back any time I’m in RVA! Thank you!
The food here was pretty decent. Especially for the price. The Caesar salad dressing was very salty but the balsamic was very good. The pasta special was awesome and the garlic bread was a nice plus. The problem was the service. Our waitress, she never said her name but she had a brown bob cut, was curt and unattentive. She came to our table twice, only for our food and drink order. She never brought out our garlic bread order and we had to flag down the host to bring our order...
