Still the best ice cream in town. They have ten times the amount of non-dairy choices as all the other shops - and they clearly take pride in every flavor they have. The sorbetto isn't an afterthought or some cynical sop to get vegan bux. Get a cone with the coconut+mango or cantaloupe+watermelon or any of the other dozen sorbetto flavors. They're all amazing. Their chocolate sorbetto tastes better than competitors' chocolate gelato. Yes they have affogatos, yes...
This is some of the best, if not the best, gelato I've ever had. I've traveled throughout Italy as well as trying a number of great gelato shops in the US. Deluca is consistently top tier. I appreciate that they it is not overly sugar based and that you can actually taste the flavors. They are also extremely friendly, as well as fairly priced. I only wish they were closer to downtown.
I can’t get enough of this place. Their dairy free gelato is phenomenal, and everyone I’ve taken who gets their regular gelato loves it, too. I especially appreciate their clear labeling of what’s dairy or nut free. The df section is huge, and has multiple types of dark chocolate, not just fruit.
