This place is unpretentious and delightful. The pupusas are amongst the best in Richmond, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Love coming here for a good, inexpensive meal.
We love El Pope! We have been coming here for a very long time whether take out, a date night, or hosting my visiting family from NY. They take care of you so well here and the food is 10/10 all around! Drinks are good as well! They've never let me down.
Came here with a group of 6 for lunch, mainly to try the pupusas (currently 3 for $12) because we had heard good things about them. I tried the beef, bean and cheese, the zucchini and cheese, and the shrimp and cheese. I have to go against the general opinion in the reviews and say that honestly, I couldn't taste the difference between the zucchini pupusa and the shrimp pupusa!
