I placed an order for delivery, it has currently been over an hour since the order has been placed. I have tried calling the restaurant over 10 times, and no one picks up the phone. Apparently they have not started on my order yet, and if anything, it just shows me how little they care about customers if they cannot pick up the phone even once.

The samosas were good and so was the naan bread. My curry was pepper hot like I asked for, however it didn't taste fresh and lacked the spicy curry flavor I am accustomed to. Overall fair experience but can't recommend any of the dishes we tried. Because we had a group on I was required to order a fourth meal to go. I had it a few days later. It wasn't any better.

Just nothing good about the food, none of the savory spices and flavors that I love about Indian food. Very disappointing, ordered $100 worth of food and we hated it all...just poor food quality. I wished I checked Google reviews prior to ordering from uber eats where the reviews are inflated. Our lamb dishes hardly had lamb, just runny sauce that tasted nothing like what we expected. I chose to try this restaurant because the prices were fairly reasonable compared to others...would have been better if I just paid the extra money and ordered better quality food. The only thing good about our order of four dishes was the mango lassi...everything else went in the trash. Even the garlic naan was gross, dry, thin and flavorless. Really makes me miss all the delicious and reasonably priced Indian and Afghan good in northern va. ?

Ordered through door dash, overall the food was just okay. Portions were not as big as I'm used to for Indian food. They gave one container of rice for two people which wasn't really enough. The vegetarian dish I got was just alright. My husband's chicken dish didn't have much chicken in it.

When I lived in the Museum District a few years ago, we frequented Farouk's often for our Indian fix. So, when I noticed they had a Groupon special I jumped on it. Unfortunately, it appears their food quality has gone down hill since my last visit.I ordered the chicken tikka masala (not usually my go-to, but looking at more recent negative reviews, it seemed like the safest choice). It tasted nothing like chicken tikka masala. The sauce was light orange in color (not the usual dark, vibrant orange I'm accustomed to), watered down, and it tasted unusually sweet -- like peas and carrots with a hint of onion. It tasted okay, but not like tikka masala. The chicken was also dry. In addition to the lackluster taste, the portions were light. For example, when I order Indian food, I usually get two hefty meals out of one dish. Instead of a medium-sized container like at most Indian places, this was definitely a small and instead of getting a large swath of jasmine rice, we got a small Chinese-style rice container. All of this would be OKAY if the food was delicious -- I totally understand quality over quantity, but unfortunately neither the quantity nor the quality was there. One final note -- the cashier wasn't wearing a face mask when I walked in and did not put one on during my duration of checking out. Definitely not ideal during a pandemic.

Ordered samosa, chicken biriyani and gulab jamun. Samosa tasted like old oil, chicken tasted like old meat and gulab jamun tasted fine but the texture was too soft, a little mushy.

It was so delicious. Looking forward to returning with my relatives.

The Chicken Tikka Masala is great, a little pricey for the amount you get but the taste almost makes up for it.

Service was great but the food is not what I expected. The naan and butter chicken is not at all what I know butter chicken and naan to be. Dont know if this is because of regional differences but it tasted nothing like Ive ordered in the past. Hope they can improve the recipe. :)

Just ordered chicken vindalo and chicken tikka masala. This is apparently vindalo. Where are the potatoes? And why does it taste like it’s cooked in Maggie sauce? Chicken tikka doesn’t taste like chicken tikka either. Everything is watered down. Chicken taste old.

Farouks is great and the waiter is so Handsome and friendly. He's got these dreamy eyes and he always keeps us laughing. He wears a button down shirt and always greets us with a smile. Sometimes I can smell his cologne and it reminds me of a better time. Farouks is a must if you want a cute waiter

Simply it is an awful restaurant and not good food. It was my first time and it’s definitely my last.

It was so savory. Staff treated us so nice. The bill was fair for the quality of food. Similar to a cafe in Las Vegas I loved.

Arrived at seven, it wasn't crowded. This place has many great reviews for a reason.
