We came for pizza. Had to wait a little while until the hostess came out to seat us. After that yhe service was good. It was moderately busy. Atmosphere was good like a nice Italian restaurant. The pizza was very good like a NY style which I have had when in NYC.

Vegetarian options limited.
We had caesar's with a vegan dressing. The croutons were stale and the institutional ground/powdered parmesan was embarrassing.
We've never had insalata caprese with onions before (not mentioned in the waitress' description), the tomato slices had the tomato core in tact.
the cheese pizza was mediocre, crust unremarkable, very salty.
Very disappointing overall, altho edible. We were with guests so we didn't want to make a scene.

Lucy was our server and she was fantastic!! Some of the best service I’ve ever had! She was extremely knowledgeable, attentive and friendly! Appetizer, salads and entrees were perfectly timed. We will definitely be back for the food and service!

Frank's was packed when I walked in. The vibe inside was warm but traditional, like a classic pizzeria with an almost upscale feel like an Italian restaurant. There was a neighborhood charm to it.
Since seating was tight, I grabbed a spot at the bar and started a to go order. Honestly, I'm glad I did. The female bartender was the highlight of my entire visit. She was friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. While the rest of the staff seemed a bit rushed (understandably, it was busy), she made me feel welcome and taken care of.
I ordered an espresso martini while waiting for my to-go order, and it was delicious. Well-balanced, smooth, and worth coming back for on its own. I even switched for tequila and she kept the same flavor.
Now to the food... I went with the spaghetti bc it's supposed to be the best thing on the menu. It looked amazing when I opened it up, but unfortunately, the flavor didn't match the visual. I hate to say it, but it tasted basic, almost canned. It didn't have that homemade taste or flavor you hope for at a sit-down Italian spot. I did like the portion size for the price.
That said, I'm not writing Frank's off completely. I still want to try the Detroit style pizza, and if that bartender is on duty, I'd absolutely go back just for a drink and the atmosphere. Will update if the pizza changes my mind.

The only Italian place in town that makes eggplant Parmesan perfectly. They don’t drown in sauce and cheese like others. And it’s so well seasoned. Wines are great and the service is always great. Super friendly staff.

I really enjoyed the chicken parmesan with salad, but waitress forgot to serve the bread 😕 Unfortunately I realized upon watching her serve the nearby table and I was finished with my meal. I intend to revisit.

5-years ago when new to Richmond Frank's was the first restaurant we did carry out. Loved the food from the first visit and feel the same today. Food quality and taste is consistent and always great. Perfectly sized portions, very friendly wait staff and Giuseppe will assure your culinary visit is outstanding. From pizza and homemade pasta, to any veal dish, to Chicken Conca D’Oro and homemade cannoli you won't go wrong.

Was craving some pizza this week and decided to try this place out by our house for the first time. Me and my boyfriend both enjoyed our time here. Very quick and professional service by our waitress Amanda. Will definitely be back again, especially for some cannolis!
The server was extremely rude actually rolled her eyes when we asked for lemon and sweetener for the water. We asked for thin crust crispy crust, light cheese and mushrooms. The pizza arrived burnt servers comment “you wanted it crispy” and it was SWIMMING in salty cheese. The entire experience was forgettable and we will not be returning. Joann Robbins
