Gummy's was a real treat! My husband and I swooped in off the turnpike and were hooked from the first bite of those heavenly turkey wings, fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, candied yams, and those greens. My God, my mouth is watering while writing this review. I been in Rva since 2019 and never was satisfied with the soul food.I kept hearing people talk about this restaurant.I didn’t realize it was right next to me.I went yesterday and the hostess was beyond helpful and nice.The food was great and the give you big portions.I will be back today to get more yams and cornbread

So my friend and I were deep in a serious soul food craving, the kind where only something homemade tasting will do. Naturally, I volunteered her to do all the searching and driving (great teamwork), and she found this spot. We decided to give it a try, and I’m glad we did.

We ordered two fish meals (about three pieces of fish with two sides each), a 3-piece fried chicken, and for my son, his own mac and cheese because sharing was not an option.
