In my 20+ years of living in Richmond, and being an avid restaurant goer, I somehow never made it to Helen’s until this weekend to celebrate my birthday - how I’ve been missing out! Food was superb (pancakes, eggs, curry potatoes), vibe was great, and our waitress was super sweet. Can’t wait to try their lunch and dinner offerings - 10/10
they had the place absolutely decked out for the holidays, including an entire collection of thrifted christmas mugs for the diners to use, which i thought was delightfully charming. i’ve been back a couple times since and it’s always been really solid; the curried potatoes are absolutely to die for and i would eat them every day if i could (pro tip: get you an egg over easy on top of those and mop up the yolk with the potatoes. magnifique 🤌😚🤌). helen’s isn’t...
ugh! haley was the best, she was the so attentive and sweet and provided amazing service. she went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience for my friends birthday, so glad we had her on this special day
