Clearly the local fave, it was pretty much full house. But we were able to seat ourselves for two. We ordered Paella Valenciana and Ropa Vieja. The paella color was spot on however lacked flavor kick, was just mild to bland in spices . There were only 2 shrimps. Ropa Vieja had a hearty broth over rice and a good serving of the roast. Over-all food was 3.5 to 4. Ambiance and service were a 5.
This place is the best original Cuban place in town. If you read the reviews about not liking it then you don’t like real Cuban food don’t forget to ask for the sour cream sauce with your meal best place in town.
Great coconut rice cakes, fried plantains and Cubano sandwich. Come here for your fried food fix and something a little different from traditional Southern or Mexican cuisine. l found the reggae music jarring but the server said they play a lot of Cuban music and this was just a little break from that at a less busy time of day. Love the wall decor and friendly service. Would definitely come back.
