I honestly have to rate this restaurant a 5/5. From the service, to the food and the ambience, I loved this place. I went to Venice back in 2025 and had Linguine alla Scogliora for the first time. I was super excited to see on the menu at La Grotta and had to try it. It is definitely a close 2nd to the real thing in Venice. The pasta was so fresh and the dish was so filling I will definitely be back whenever I'm in Richmond
Enzo is our favorite server. Professional and knowledgeable about the chef preparations. The food is always delicious and the fig appetizer was fantastic, we hope they offer it throughout the Summer. The seafood fresh and cooked to perfection over pasta. My wife is addicted Canaloni. Nice wine choices by the glass or bottle. We will return again and again.
It had been quite awhile since we visited La Grotta. What a fantastic meal! The duck tenderloin salad and bruschetta and peach starters were great; all the mains were even better (veal cheeks, snapper and lobster tagliolini). The dessert options were so tempting that we opted to order 3 for our party of 4. All were fantastic--coconut cake, Grand Marnier strawberry cake and tiramisu.
