I do not normally write reviews of visits to restaurants during Restaurant Week (charity event.) I am making an exception because the items I got seem to be off the regular menu and because the restaurant was not busy. This combination of circumstances would seem to negate any disadvantage of trying to serve an unusually large number of people a simplified menu or something. My choices were a Leek and Bacon Soup, the Queen Crepe, and the Mini Creme Brulee Crepe. Things started out okay, full orders plus drink orders were taken -- but drinks forgotten. This was remedied upon reminder when the first course hit the table. My soup was a decent starter -- homemade creamy leek soup topped with a small square of decent bacon (a garnish, should not have been in the title) and mozzarella cheese. Flavor was decent, cheese was (as all mozz is) stringy as soon as the dish started to cool. Again, a good start. After a european length wait, the second course arrived, but the dishes hadn't been cleared. So there was a shuffle. Not a huge deal. The Queen Crepe is described as "chicken, mushrooms, caramelized onions, spring mix, parmesan, blue cheese, and parsley sauce." The chicken was tough, I assume recently quick thawed or something. The cheese was not noticeable. Biggest sin was that the crepe, which should be delicate, was tough, and the whole dish was room temp. My two dining partners had ordered Veggie Garden Crepes, and they were being polite but clearly not enjoying theirs either. All three of us asked for to go boxes and abandoned the main courses. The dessert course was delivered, and the mini creme brulee crepe looked pretty. Described as "creme brulee with caramelized apples, blueberries, and strawberries," it was sort of okay as a dessert? The only portion that was bruleed was a postage stamp portion of a custard (which tasted good.) But somehow, with all the promise of that fruit, the dish wasn't sweet. I do not know how you have fresh berries this time of year that have little flavor. Again, the crepe was a bit tough, though not a thick as the main course. If I had ordered this meal outside of restaurant week, it would be a solid 2 star review. Because restaurant week is hard to execute, benefit of the doubt says 3 stars. But no rush to return.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday at his request. Let's start with the food! Appetizer: not good, sadly. For restaurant week, we ordered the special and my boyfriend got the spinach dip. It came out...cold? With Kraft shredded cheese sprinkled on top. It was so tough that the pita chips just crumbled when you tried to scoop! Maybe this is how you eat spinach dip, but I've never had it cold. It was not great. Mains: Incredible!! I got the Lamb Curry and it was by far the best thing I have ever had here. Highly recommend. Dessert: Pretty good. Nothing super fancy. Service: Our waiter was incredibly nice and kept checking in on us, however I have to admit I was very upset that despite saying both to them and on my reservation that we were there to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, they did not bring out any special dessert or anything to celebrate (which I know that they do here). It's not a big deal, but would have been something extra and nice for his birthday that I was expecting. All in all, not worth the $100 I spent, but still a nice meal out.

Delicious dinner in a lovely old church building in Carytown. We chose a table on the balcony with a great view looking down on the storefronts and pedestrians in Carytown.

We arrived with an infant and got seated. No one ever came to wait on us, 4 other table got seated after us and were all waited on. We waited 15 and left. Staff didn’t acknowledge us when we were leaving. What a disappointment for someone who has been living in Richmond their entire life!

Les Crepes is wonderful. Another lovely dining experience in Carey town, it's a must do if you're looking for both great desserts and some savory meals. I particularly love the Cinnabona crepe, which is a sweet, fruity cinnamon bun themed dessert crepe. The outdoor porch is spacious and gives amazing views, especially at night. The serving staff has always been prompt, offers solid advice, and have good vibes. They also have a parking lot, which is a huge bonus for the area!

Great front porch, terrible bland food, slow and inattentive service, had to walk inside to pay my bill because our server disappeared. Stay away!

We were there to celebrate a birthday which we had mentioned but the waitress did not seem to remember. She also brought about check before we were even done eating the main course or asking if we wanted dessert

The restaurant was empty when we arrived, and we were seated immediately. Sara was our server and made good recommendations, was personable and attentive. One thing she did was to quote prices for a couple of the menu items we requested. This gave us the impression that she may not feel we would be interested in these items if we knew the price. We're aware that this is upscale dining and we come prepared. Otherwise, food and drinks were delicious! The mixologist knows what he's doing; uses a sufficient amount of alcohol in the mixed drinks!

I really wanted to like this place, but honestly the food was "mid" at best. Nothing to write home about if you ask me. I got the French onion soup as a starter and that definitely was the least appetizing iteration of this soup that I've ever tried. What really struck me is the seasoning they use for the soup -- I've never had French onion soup with this much pepper and a bunch of other seasonings in it and I just wasn't a fan. I also ordered the spinach crepe that comes with ricotta and cheddar cheese. I also asked to have bacon added to it but the bacon was barely there - they sprinkled about 3 small chunks of bacon at the bottom and called it a day. Very disappointing. Overall, the barely there bacon was my favorite part of this dish because it was more flavorful than the rest of the crepe, which I thought was kinda bland.
