Pretty cool casual place. I was going to eat at the Hospital cafeteria when a staff member suggested McLean's since I was already heading back home. I'm glad she mentioned it.
True, there are cheaper places for sure, and it would be nice if they offered a military discount - they don't. But I think the service and quality of the food do make up for it, and the price includes a 20% tip that is prominently disclosed before you take a seat.

Delicious breakfast in the heart of Scott’s Addition.
Didn’t know what to make of McLean’s from the outside, but inside it was crowded and clearly the place to be on a Saturday morning. Was seated immediately, service was fast. Picked a new menu item, the Cowboy Scramble. The chorizo wasn’t too spicy, just right and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Very tasty breakfast. Great breakfast and service. Food was hot, fresh, and quick- even on a crowded Sunday morning! Only waited 5 minutes to be seated. The servers were not in excellent, but present and attentive while working both dining rooms. Food is priced reasonably! Top notch biscuits and we will definitely be back!
