We had an Omakase dinner upstairs at the small private sushi bar. What an experience! Freshest, high quality fish, prepared by a wonderful, experienced chef. First place in RVA to have it. With Omakase the chef chooses for you (can request changes for diet/allergy). Different than the sushi menu. Clean. Inventive. We had mackerel, baby scallop, amberjack, sea bass, shrimp, snow crab, sea bream, fluke, salmon, so many tuna varieties, and others. Some simple. Some lightly torched....

Was one of the top sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at. As I read in another review -- RUN (don't walk) to Nami's Omakase. Reserve the Omakase experience. It is a seperate upstairs sushi bar area for only 6 people. You will have your own personal sushi chef with items that are not on the regular restaurant menu. Highly highly highly recommend. I have eaten sushi all over the country and this is in the top places I have ever eaten. The sushi was absolutely INCREDIBLE!...

Took my wife here on your birthday for the Omakase experience and was not disappointed! Each course was fantastic, sake recommendation was delicious, service was on point. And even though we were full we had to order some of our favorite courses again! 100% will be coming back!
