We had reservations and were the first to be sat in the entire dining room...so we asked to be moved by a window. You'd have thought we had asked to be crowned king and queen! The manager/owner was as rude as anyone we've ever encountered in a restaurant. Not our first visit here this year, but definitely our last. Too

This place was….. wildly awful. I was excited to try it based on the great reviews and now I feel like I was punked. I made a reservation for two, specifically with outdoor seating. When we arrived, we stood awkwardly in the doorway for a while, until the bar tender angrily asked us if we had reservations. We said yes, and he looked us up on a tablet. When he tried to seat us indoors I politely requested outdoor seating like we’d reserved. He looked angry and inconvenienced, and brought us out to the patio. He pointed to a dirty table and said sarcastically something along the lines of “is this what you’re looking for?” We said yes, and sat down, only to realize the table was covered in bird poop.Suffice to say we decided apps and a drink at most, and then we would dip, because we were feeling uncomfortable. Our server was very very nice, but definitely the only one there, which is in no way her fault. We got wings, fried oysters, and some old fashions. It took over half an hour to get our food and drinks. Honestly the old fashioneds were great, and the oysters were fine. The wings were dry and tough, and made us glad we didn’t get actual entrees, especially because my partner was considering the chicken.Overall I’ll give the place two stars because our server really was nice and doing her best. Otherwise, probably the worst experience I’ve had eating in Richmond, and that really says something.

Came to the restaurant for drinks while attending a wedding rehearsal, and whomever the lady behind the bar was last night was very rude and disrespectful to us, plus she was yelling at the guy that was working with her , for a restaurant to be in a Historic building I'll think the hospitality would be of some sort of enjoyable experience, we had the Pimento Cheese and Deviled eggs , which were great, didn't order anything else because we felt unwanted.

Walking in the door I was so excited to try this cozy charming restaurant. Unfortunately however there were let downs at every turn starting with the wine. All options by the glass were “on tap”. The waiter was kind enough to let me taste a sample before ordering but as expected red wine should not come from a tap. Next the chicken biscuits: while the chicken was very good the biscuit was almost too dry to chew and hard to bite. For the salad I went half Caesar which looked good in previous picture reviews. Mine however was reminiscent of a Kroger salad out of a bag, no fresh grated Parmesan to be found. Finally the gumbo. It was nearly impossible to eat due to the amount of salt. And I like salt.

Small restaurant attached to our hotel (Linden Row Inn). Perfect for late dinner after check in. Excellent service, good cocktails and the food was good as well. Husband loved his Fish and Chips. Two guests had the Smash-burger and said it was a bit dry. Could have used a special sauce. I had the autumn salad with shrimp. It hit the spot. Appetizers were excellent - fried oysters and green tomatoes were great.

I think about their Kale Salad with the crispy chickpeas, red onions, gold raisins, puffed farro, and that lemon vinaigrette all the time. Yum! Such a perfect combo.

Small quaint location. It's a nice brunch spot. Parking is not so easy. The menu has multiple options for different tastes.

We had a server named Jermaine W. who went ahead and tipped himself $11 from my CC. The manager, Brooke, handled it, but beware of him, he’s a thief.

Eggs were dry and flabby and potatoes were tasteless and cardboard in texture as if they had been microwaved. Burger was unseasoned and more bread than anything else. Had heard good things about lunch but brunch was a disappointment although service was excellent.

We arrived a few minutes early for our table. No one greeted us when we walked in. A server was fixing another table and kind of grunted at us. We had a table of six to celebrate our daughters birthday. We ordered The sampler platter and the brussel sprouts as appetizers. The brussel sprouts were amazing! We also ordered two wedge salads. Only One wedge salad came out with the entrees. We also ordered, the Skirt steak, salmon, fish and chips and a shrimp entree. The food was very good. The service was just ok. They didn't remove any of the appetizer plates from the table until after we ate the main course. No mention of our daughters birthday. The restaurant has a cozy vibe and the food was good. Our server did recommend a wine we really enjoyed.

Quaint place with great service. A bit hard to find (side street, small/dark sign). Food was good but nothing special; limited menu. Very subdued atmosphere. Good for a romantic dinner out.

Every bite was delicious, as was my creative "mule " drink. Brussel sprouts get a wow, salmon and shrimp and grits were great, and we managed some deliciousdeserts as well. Our srrver was Germaine and the chef was Jamaal. Well done to both. I highly recommend.

I thought it was perfect for a brunch spot right around opening on a Saturday. Not many other guests were present, which was nice for us. The atmosphere was nice, the setting was nice. Enjoyed it very much, I'd like to go back. :)
