Tim is the best. He is a 1 man show and does a phenomenal job playing all roles in his restaurant. The restaurant is cute and cozy. The food is the better, if not the beat southern food spot in the Richmond and Tri-cities area. I was coming here twice a week when I 1st found this gem. I had to cut back to once a week lol. I have tried almost the whole menu and everythings is always perfectly seasoned and fresh. The taste has been consistenly great, unlike most of the restaurants in the area. If you have to wait a little longer for your order on busier days, please be patient. The food is worth the wait!

Wow! What a hidden gem! Today I tried some chicken wings (Delicious) and seasoned to perfection! The Vegan egg roll was super good! I’m not vegan but it made me realize vegan food is great! The cabbage is crisp and fried like. The peach wing sauce is sweet and savory! Talk about the corn pudding 😩 someone grama stuck her foot in it! Will definitely return on March 7th for the VEGAN BRUNCH!!!

Order said it was done at 12:51 and then they said it will be done in a few minutes. I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes and it wasn’t even packed. It was maybe 5 ppl in there including me smh.

Best gizzards I've found in the area. Bought gizzards from a chicken spot at Hull Street and Genito Rd, they were like breaded gravel. Paulines is cooked right and tender! Staff was very friendly....I'll be going back!

Easily one of the best soul food spots in the area. The customer service was excellence. a the food was hot as if made to order. The fish is excellent, and the Mac and Cheese is some of the best tasting i've had at a restaurant. and it was nice gettin cornbread along the fish combo. Very nice setting inside the establishment. Go check this place out it's a hidden gem.

Every bite was a revelation. The corn pudding was divine, rich, creamy, subtly sweet, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. And the egg rolls? Mind-blowing. Crispy on the outside and bursting with flavors that danced between savory and soulful. I’ve had egg rolls all over, and I’ve never had anything like these.
I also tried their fried fish, mac & cheese, and collards. Everything was seasoned perfectly and served with care. You can tell this is food made from the heart, not just the kitchen.

Absolutely fantastic! This is definitely official soul food! We tried Fried fish, collards, Mac and cheese, cabbage and pork rolls all very delicious but the bread pudding with raisins and that rum sauce was so good ! Fast and friendly service!
