Steaks are okay. Service was a 3 out of 5. Paying that much for a meal you would expect stellar service. They were nice just need to turn it up a bit. No baked potato!?! Crazy!

First time here. It's our anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Our server(Jake) was friendly and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and even gave us some recommendations. We definitely will be returning!

This is my second visit to Perry's and I ordered the Filet Perry again. It's truly the best steak I've ever had!

Honestly a pleasant experience. My fiancé and I had a date night at Perry's on a Tuesday night and we throughly enjoyed it. We took advantage of the valet parking which was perfect because it started raining shortly after we arrived. Our waitress was very attentive but not overly intrusive. The food was delicious and flavorful. We both order the filet mignon (medium) and it was cooked to perfection. My only issue which isn't a real issue was that at the 2 seater table I felt so far away from my fiance and it was hard to hear each other. I can't wait to go back. Definitely recommend!

It was our First Time to Perry's and We weren't really Impressed. It does have the Right Ambiance For Couples but there's a lot to be desired with the food. The Alcoholic drinks weren't Strong. Taste more like a Fruit Drink. For Starters we ordered Crab Cakes, Scallops on Bacon, and Seafood Mushrooms. The Scallops were the best out of all 3. The Bernaise sauce was a miss for me, & Fried Crab Cakes were just OK. Entrees Gf had The Chargrilled Salmon. It was a miss for her. No Flavor that wowed her & Bland. I had the Lamb Chops which are my Favorite. They were Salty which is a No No. It was also Warm and Not Sizzling Hot. Appetizers were the same, Warm. For Sides we had Au Gratin Potatoes and The Brussel Sprouts. We Loved the Potatoes. Our Server was Fine. Overall Based our Experiences in Fine Dining, I give Perry's a 2.5. For a $300 Bill We Expected Much much more with the Food. We Haven't Decided if we will Return. For now it's 50/50. Work on Flavors and Food Being Hot like it was just cooked and Wow Factors.

Let me start by saying that I was very excited to have my birthday dinner here. I made the reservation a month ago. Our reservation was for 7:15, bar area (party of 2). We were checked in and seated promptly. Our server arrived timely and provided us with waters. We ordered two glasses of champagne, which were brought over in a good timeframe. The reason I’m mentioning timeframes as this was the end of us receiving items quickly. Our server asked if we had any questions about the menu, we had a few which he answered. He never offered to go over the menu with us (I’ve seen reviews where the server goes over the menu and offers suggestions, etc. See the review below mine, we were there the same night). This would have been helpful as this was our first time visiting the restaurant. I did receive a birthday card which was a great touch. We ordered two thyme lemon drop martinis and our dinner. No appetizers were ordered. We watched our drinks sit in the service area for at least 7 minutes and our server no where in site. My friend finally flagged down the hostess to ask our server to get the drinks. We saw amazing bread being brought to tables, we were never offered bread. Our dinner arrived - we both ordered 8 oz filets, grilled vegetables and loaded mashed potatoes with the fixings on the side to split. My steak was a special with king crab and truffle butter. My friends was off the regular menu, Oscar style. The size of my steak was substantially smaller. She also asked that the asparagus be plated on the side. The asparagus were on her plate, no big deal. The food runner offered to have hers fixed, she declined. I commented on the size difference, he agreed and offered to send it back, which I accepted, as well as remake the veggies as they were room temp (not sure if this is the way they are supposed to be served). By the time my steak came out, my friend had finished her meal as I sat there and waited. Mind you, this was my birthday! I waited easily 15 minutes. The manager came over to apologize and comped my steak which was much appreciated. We then ordered dessert, she got the dessert trio, I had the lemon bar. It took some time for the desserts to be brought to the table. The lemon bar is to be flambéed table side, however mine was arrived already flambéed. I questioned it and the server told me that they don’t do that any longer for this dessert, even though the menu states that it is. It would have been nice to know that when I placed my dessert order. We finally paid the tab and left at 9:45. I understand that this is a dining experience and is to not be rushed. It should not take 2.5 hours for a table of 2 dinner and dessert. Would I visit again, maybe. Definitely not for a special occasion as my birthday was not special after dining here.

I’m so disappointed in my experience here. My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our first anniversary here and boy did we wish we just went to Texas Roadhouse. When we walked in I stood at the host stand while three hosts didn’t greet me EVER. My boyfriend walked up 5 min after me and then finally a host just said “sorry” - still no greeting. We waited 10 min after checking in just standing in the corridor since our reservation wasn’t ready.Fast forward to our meal- we had calamari (mediocre), pear salad (probably the only thing I actually enjoyed), and each a steak and a side. Our steaks took one hour to come out. The server and management were accommodating by providing us free drinks and dessert for the wait. But it didn’t matter. The steaks came out and we both ordered medium rare . Please see the attached photo for what this restaurant defines “medium rare” as.Our server was a fine person but she clearly knew nothing about the menu- I tried to order something and she didn’t know what I was referring to and made me point it out to her on the menu. She was very disheveled and didn’t carry herself as I would expect a server to in a fine dining scenario. We ended up spending over $350 for one of the most disappointing meals. But that isn’t even the worst part. I have been suffering from what feels like food poisoning since I woke up the morning after dinner and had nothing else to eat after we left. 1/5 would never recommend this restaurant to even my worst enemy.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Perry’s! Getting a reservation was pretty tough (although evidently the bar is first come first serve and they do take walk-ins). I’ve been to almost every well-known steakhouses in Richmond….and I have to say, the ribeye at Perry’s has been my favorite (even better than Buckheads and Bookbinders). Fair warning, they do heavily season their steaks (which I love), so if that’s an issue for you, you’re probably not going to like their steaks as much. We also got the famous pork skewers as an app (absolutely delicious) and the trio-filet. Side of Alaskan King Crab Mac n cheese which was killer (wish there was more crab ). Do understand that unless you go to Perry’s during one of their promotions/specials, the average price per item will make your jaw drop. It’s NOT cheap, but the ambiance, attention to excellent service and incredible food made every last dollar worth it. A must try restaurant in Richmond!

Went for drinks and appetizers. The espresso martini was good (not great), the wine was good but happy hour prices are still on the high side. We ordered the escargot and seafood stuffed mushrooms. We had to ask for someone to check on the appetizers because it took so long. The escargot was just their French onion soup over the escargot with a small puff pastry on top. You expect a lot more from an upscale restaurant. The mushrooms were cold and served over a sauce that tasted like it came out of a jar. Having said all that I should say I am very picky, especially at a high end restaurant. Given the other reviews I may give it another chance and try an entree but as of now I don't think it worth the money.

Well, we arrived at 6.30 and we were seated right away. After a long 20 min water and waiter arrived... 15 long min later drinks were served... Clearly the waiter was overwhelmed.... He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful though ......as soon as he was concentrating on us, he was delightful.....food was delicious, although we didn't plan on eating at 8.30... $360 for a shared appetizer, shared main dish and 2 side dishes, 2 cocktails and 2 glasses of wine ?. We will see if we go back....

Loved the bar time in fact next time might just do the bar instead of the restaurant tables. Food was good but far from what I was expecting for the price. Our side dishes came out almost after we were finished the main course. That's never good. The only appetizer that was the best was the Lobster Bisque but it was just warm, not hot. So over all it was just ok. Not really worth the $$&$ but will more than likely go back and belly up to the bar for wine and Bar Bites. I don't mind spending the money but in this case it just didn't make the cut.

Our visit overall was good, great service and presentation. The one challenge we had was in ordering and getting the correct order. We ordered from the 3 course Military menu as we are both service members. Our food was delivered and the bill was presented and was not correct. Our waitress was unaware that there was a military menu so charged us according to the regular menu. We informed the waitress and in an effort to do damage control, she adjusted our billing to the Sunday pork chop special. Overall, we were charged more than the military special by $10 per entree for a total of $20. We were compassionate to our waitress not knowing the military special . . .. so we paid the bill and moved on. Just wanted you all to have this information as you continue to improve operations through feedback.

Food and service was what would be expected for the high end environment. Their signature pork chop was delicious, next time we will share one because it's a very large portion size. The fried asparagus top with lump crab was okay but not worth the price. I rather have regular asparagus. We will return for special occasions.
