I have fought the urge to file this complaint for 5 months now. They have been charging me and my family copay’s for routine check ups for going on 2 years. I didn’t realize it until about 6 months ago. Since then I have tried to get refunds and been working with their billing specialist as advised, and NOTHING has been done. I have called and left messages, I have sent requests thru the portal… all of my attempts have gone unresolved. Also, one of my children wasn’t able to get into their online records system and she called for help 3 times and each time told “we don’t know how to help you” “office manager isn’t here” then it was “we currently don’t have a office manager” So as a patient I don’t access to my records, labs, or payment history…. And no one from the office will help me. I had another doctors office, called me directly because Dr. Madison’s office has been unresponsive to her record request. She sent the request twice. This is a very important appointment that my daughter needed and was referred to by Dr. Madison however, they are unresponsive when the specialist reached out to them for medical history and details. I called again today (march 9) to get help and the receptionist told me “it’s too early for this, I have other patients waiting” when I demanded someone help me. She then hung up on me. So now I’ve been forced to come in person to get my records. I come up here and waited for Dr. Madison. She asked me to go upstairs in her office to speak with her, and as I am explaining to her what has happened and giving her my complaint, she talked over me she interrupted me, and she was extremely dismissive. All that she had to say was that they are extremely short staffed and they have a bunch of horrible employees that weren’t doing their job properly. I asked her at least five times very clearly and specifically for a payment history now, after being in this office for 45 minutes she comes out with other documents instead of what I requested. So now I have wasted another hour of my time and my day dealing with a completely unprofessional establishment. It is a shame that I go out of my way to support not only small businesses, but black businesses and this is the type of treatment that we receive this type of unprofessionalism and practice is why black business get such a bad rep. And I hate to bash another business because I too am a business owner, but this has to be reported because I do not want anyone else to have to go through the type of headache. They are ripping people off, and they are not serving their patients with any administrative request or assistance. Unfortunately, I would not recommend at all. Truly disappointed.

This is over 2 months due. I’ve waited patiently for them to rectify the issue and not one person has returned a call or responded to a portal message. The Garden of Eden is a DISHONEST medical practice. Upon arrival to my annual check up I handed the receptionist my insurance card and thought it odd that she told me I had a co pay, I paid it and thought that would be the end of it. Oh no that was the beginning!They will not provide my insurance with the correct codes they have charged me as self pay, they have also charged me for tests I never received. My bill is beyond ridiculous I went for an annual exam. I’ve been over charged by hundreds and now receiving bills for routine lab work that they won’t send codes to the insurance company for, I’m now out of pocket nearly $2000 for an simple routine annual visit. It’s very disappointing and frustrating! Im warning anyone who is thinking of going here not too…….unless you want to be burdened with massive bills and NO one to communicate with. They are a bunch of thieves!!!! PS: the services were very subpar, and Dr Madison was like every other Dr, doesn’t listen and in a big rush to get you out of the door. Also had me waiting for a follow up lab result appointment for over 3 hours yes 3 hours with absolutely no apology.

I have been to the Garden of Eden twice now and have had a pleasant experience each time. The front desk women are friendly, kind, and welcoming. I have been a vegan for seven years now, but not necessarily taking the health aspect seriously until recently. Dr Aseena Madison is my primary care doctor. She is very thoughtful and takes the time to explain things to me in a way that I can understand. She went through my lab results one by one, giving me recommendations for healthy food options to eat to improve my numbers. She took the time to get to know me and made me feel a part of their community there. I’m really happy that someone recommended her to me because I feel much more in control of my health and wellness. It is clear that she is passionate about helping people become the best versions of themselves, and is not one to resort to prescription medicines that don’t get at the cause of the problem. You will not regret it!

I've been looking for the perfect philly since I moved and our old place (can't remember the name) no longer delivered to us. I've tried a dozen places.....all sub-par. It was like I saw the sky part and angels sing when I took a bite. You have a life long customer.
