Those bacon and cheese fries were all that I could've asked for. The cheese. The bacon. The crispiness... The feel of potato chips around the edges and fries in the center. Delightful. No need for ketchup or anything else.

Amazingly good bar food. Our party had pizza and salads. All items were fabulous. After dinner it was also a great place to watch the VCu basketball game. We sat at the bar and received good and friendly service.

We visited this restaura after leaving the science museum yesterday with my family, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. The food quality was subpar, and the service was disappointingly slow. From the moment our meals arrived, it was clear something was amiss. Shockingly, our food was presented with no utensils or plates, forcing my kids to eat their pizza on a napkin. The fries were served cold, and the so-called mozzarella sticks contained an unusual textured cheese that was far from the expected mozzarella. The overall service was lacking, leaving us with a sense of frustration and dissatisfaction. We had hoped for a pleasant dining experience, Rams House fell short in both food quality and service. We won't be returning anytime soon.

We might have caught this restaurant on an off day. It was just a few hours before the VCU/UR basketball game. They were getting busy. Two servers had an argument over whose section we were in. After ordering sliders we waited and waited. The server explained there was a mixup with our entree and discounted it, but it was still cold. Beer was cold. My biggest complaint with a mandatory 20% tip -- it should be for good service, this wasn't good service. May try again b/c it's nice to have a new place.

Great space, food and drinks were delicious. No complaints there. The service wasn't bad as the place was surprisingly empty for a sports bar on a football Sunday afternoon. My only complaint about this place was the mandatory 20% added to the bill which bartender advised was not the tip, but a mandatory fee that helps to pay staff wages ...huh? So you're in the service business, and charge me a fee to pay your staffs wage and tip to provide that service? The food was great, drinks were cool, but I definitely have spots that skip the service charge. Can't say I would need to return here.

We had a fantastic celebration for my nephew's 18th birthday yesterday. Everything went smoothly with accommodating staff for 30 people, timely food service, and our favorite drink, "Long Island Iced Tea with Lavender Lemonade." The manager even let us play a new birthday song through the speaker. The banana pudding cookies were exceptional, with a perfect balance of softness and crunch. They even had a small section where we can take pictures.

The waitress told us that the 20% service charge does not include a tip for her. I wrote the restaurant about this, they clarified that the service charge DOES include tip for waitstaff. Weeks later, my parents ate here and a different waitress told them again that the 20% service charge does not include a tip for her. So confused, what is happening here?! Maybe it's time to get rid of the service charge and do things the way every other restaurant functions, before there are just 0 repeat customers.

Not just your typical sport bar, but a cut above. Good food and a fun place to go. Service is always awesome. This place is a regular for me.

We stopped in for a bite before a VCU game and were glad we did! The fried pickles were great, as was the slider flight and the Asian Persuasion pizza--the kimchi on that was a great touch. The only thing that surprised us was that beers were a bit pricey, so it's definitely worth heading there during happy hour.

Bad service and a mandatory %18 added to the tab for table of 2. No attachment to the school, just using the name. Does not take Ram bucks.

Food was good, service was ok, the pricing could be a lot better. Hey it’s 2023 so I guess.

TLDR: Possibly one of the cleanest, best tasting and all around better sports bars in the area! The bad: with service charges, taxes, va fees and a generous tip it can get pricey.Food: I’ve had pizza, salad and sliders here. All are solid representations of classic American bar food. Stick with the chicken as it’s amazing. They could have a few healthier options but you can always go without the bun.Drinks: great selection of local beers and custom cocktails. Doesn’t disappoint given its Richmond location and all the resources here.Staff: Real friendly, clean, and pleasant to be around. Zero complaints here.Atmosphere: music is a little loud for lunch but fun! Everything’s put together nicely, great VCU vibe and kept super clean. Tons of space for happy hour or business lunches too.Price: here’s the one hit. A slider sampler, with and ice tea and a $5 tip will run you $27. There’s a service fee and va tax nonsense. But you’ll have a way better experience and food than other places.
