Nestled within the Hatch compound is a fantastic location if you’re looking for a great bahn mi. The pork belly was tender and well spiced combined with other fragrant veggies in the sandwich. The pan fried noodles were pretty middle of the road in my opinion, and the shrimp could’ve been better seasoned/pan fried instead of boiled. Looking forward to trying the other dishes out. The eatery itself is clean and modern, not too crowded.

Ordered DoorDash from here twice and both times it did NOT disappoint. This is some of the best food RVA has to offer. Well seasoned, perfectly cooked meat, bright vegetable accompaniments, and a nice atmosphere at Hatch Local. And all for a reasonable price.

I'm going to give this place a 5 star but I'll start by saying I was SUPER underwhelmed by my pork belly bowl. It needed some type of sauce or moisture bc it was white rice with dry veggies and meat. A sauce or some type of liquid/moisture would have brought it all together. I SO BADLY wanted to love it but I paid $13 (or maybe it was $15) to eat cucumbers and pork belly BUT I'm giving it 5 stars bc my mom got the fried rice and it wad BANGIN. Like so so good.
