Been here several times. Lately not as perfect as the first few but this is a Richmond classic. Large menu and most things hit. I have noticed some of the fried foods don’t quite crush as they used to. Everything else is epic though, including drinks. Love the new hybrid indoor/outdoor seating area that allowed our dog.
I met a friend for dinner on a Friday. We were seated pretty quickly. Everything was plated nicely and came out relatively fast. The shrimp and grits was flavorful, and I thought it strange it was on a square plate instead of a bowl and the portion was generous.
The food, the drinks, the service, and vibes are great. The pork rind nachos are good and loaded with pulled pork and other toppings and a delicious and different. The loaded chicken with Mac & cheese, and pulled pork with collard greens are delicious. The chicken and waffle is delicious. For the price it's a lot of food and well worth it. I'll be back to try other foods on the menu.
