The ambiance was great - perfect for our 30 yr anniversary. We ordered the grilled salmon and grilled swordfish - both we beautiful on the plate and tasted awesome! The best swordfish I had ever had. Our waiter, Tom, was attentive and very friendly without hovering over us. Really appreciated him Highly recommend the Boathouse.
Traveled to Richmond to see a show and wanted to try a local restaurant for dinner. It was a beautiful day and the atmosphere at the boathouse was outstanding. The food and the service was a bit underwhelming for the price.
Had not been back in three years so overall it was good. I wish they would put the buffet brunch back especially on the weekends and cook the potatoes the way they use to which was more like First Watch than the way they look and taste. I will try again. I had the waffle and chicken which was good. Tried the potatoes but didn't eat.
