I was really disappointed with how long everything took here. It took far too long just to be acknowledged. Good service should be attentive and timely, but unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience. I hope management takes steps to improve efficiency and customer care.

Food was phenomenal!!! Went to Brunch on a Saturday. The best chicken & waffles I've ever had. The hangover burger was messy & delicious. Pizza was excellent. Moonshine espresso martini was good. Kid friendly, they have card games and board games at ready. Nice vibe overall. Wish I lived closer.

Took my daughter for Sunday brunch. Very good experience. Aelon (server/bartender) was Awesome. The food was good.

Aelan was excellent; she is very friendly and kind. Great to talk to and has a great head on her shoulders. She makes this place great to come to with her customer service

The Brass Tap in Richmond is top tier.
The staff and new manager Lisa were extremely warm and welcoming considering it was my first time there. They introduced original hand crafted beers in addition to new creations like the Spiked Arnold Palmer.
If you’re in the Richmond area and love a good bar/grill spot, this is definitely one you should go to.

This must be a hidden gem in Libbie Mill, Richmond. Sure, there are more of the, but this one is SPECIAL! Our hostess today (Wednesday 30th of July 2025) was such a sweetie, the food was awsome, ND quickly served! Some very nice Crafts on tap, even happy hours!

The Brass Tap — Hype Without the Hustle

Dropped by The Brass Tap at Libbie Mill for Tuesday happy hour after hearing plenty of buzz. The vibe was solid, the space looked the part, and the prices weren’t the issue — but the service just didn’t rise to the occasion.

No urgency. No flow. For what they’re charging, I expected sharper service and a tighter experience. The food was okay — nothing wrong with it, but nothing that left an impression either.

I came in ready to enjoy it, ready to add it to the rotation. But overall? The Brass Tap felt like a place coasting on its reputation, not earning it. I left feeling let down.

I give up on this place. I want to like it, I really do, mainly for its great craft beer selection. But each time I come in, I wait an atrociously long time just to get a stinkin' beer. And it's not always the bartender's fault. It's often an understaffing issue. Last time, a waitress finally signed into the bar cash register after taking pity on me after I sat there for 20 minutes. Before that, I wasn't even acknowledged with a simple 'I'll be right with you.'

Upon arriving there's no sign that says to sit yourself so we were standing around waiting to be seated until we finally went to ask a server. Our waitress seemed bothered by us right from the start. My kid even said to me Mami she's mean. When our drinks arrived my kid's drink arrived with a bug in it. We tried to get the waitress's attention multiple times but somehow she never heard us meanwhile she was at the table basically next to us. We finally got to tell her about the drink when she brought our food. The drink was replaced. After this our waitress seemed a bit nicer. When the food came out, none of the food was even hot, it was barely warm. The steak and fish definitely are not fresh. We didn't say anything about any of the food though. The brussel sprouts were pretty good until we got to almost the end of it and we pulled out a few hairs that were tangled in multiple brussel sprouts This is when we did complain and the waitress said she'll take it off the bill. Upon receiving the receipt she tells me in a sarcastic tone she took off the Brussels sprouts bc it had hair in it. We paid left 10% instead of the usual 20% we leave bc of her sarcastic attitude. Unfortunately will not be coming to the place with my family again.

We were SO impressed with the food at Brass Tap! We got the hot honey pizza + Caesar salad, both of which were excellent. The crispy chicken and fries were delicious as well! They also have some of the best mocktails we’ve had. Super delicious and definitely underrated spot!

I went into this restaurant for the first time May 17th with family and friends. We were celebrating the graduation of my Master's program. We did not all come in at the same time. Reservations had been made about 2 weeks in advance for 20 people. Yet, our section had not been put together. After the first group of us (4 people) were seated, our waitress Kayley gave us the disclosure that she used to work at the Brass Tap, left for a year, and came back because the food was so good. The rest of group came and ordered. Well, SERVICE sucked. One of the people in the group who ordered first got their food last. The ordered was wrong. I spoke with the manager and had that order removed from the bill. The food came out seemingly one plate at a time. I ordered wings and fries and got the fries before the wings. Some people enjoyed the food, some people did not. It was a nightmare at a place I've been wanting to try for months. However, the service alone was enough to say I will never eat at this establishment again. Nor will anyone in my party eat there again.
