This was a great brunch place. I'm not a huge fan of pimento cheese but my boyfriend ordered the pimento cheese and cracker appetizer and I ate most of it. Highly recommend that appetizer.

Ok. So. Super unique place. Really glad this is where we ended up for brunch. Waitstaff is super friendly, and food is DELICIOUS. Try the grits tots appetizer. Very unique and flavorful. Wife got the sweet heat, and I got the Fan. Biscuits were flaky, gravy was on point, and their pepper jelly was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Definitely will go again. They also have an extensive alcohol menu for breakfast.

The FANcy Biscuit was highly recommended to us and did not disappoint. The biscuit had nearly half of a fried chicken on it and it was fried well, not too much breading and still very moist. The got your goat biscuit was excellent. Cocktails were great and perfect brunch side kicks. Deviled eggs were good, too, I just don’t like pickled flavored things so I didn’t love them like my wife did.

The food was so good. I do believe it's one of the better brunch choices in RVA. We will definitely be back.

Always a long wait but still a really fun brunch spot on the weekends! Beautiful decor inside and the biscuits and gravy are amazing

The food was amazing, but unfortunately the customer service was not up to the same level. My husband and I arrived at about 2pm on a Thursday and no one was in the front area to greet us. We heard lots of chatter and action coming from the kitchen so after waiting a few minutes for someone to come out, my husband went to the kitchen doorway and made our presence known by saying, "Hello?"A young woman came out and i think she asked what we needed, so I asked something to the effect of if they were still open because even though their hours were until 3, it seemed like they already closed up and just forgot to lock the front door or something. She responded to my question with a bit of hesitation and said how the kitchen has already started some of their closing tasks but that if they were mad than that's their fault for starting to close up early, and then said it was up to us what we wanted to do. I was a little taken aback by her response, and it felt a little like she didn't want us to dine there because we'd be getting in the way of everyone finishing their closing tasks, so I told her that we'd still like to have lunch there because it was still before closing time and we came to have lunch. We had seen this place on DDD and were really looking forward to eating here, and we live a few hours away so it's not like we could come back any time!We picked out a table to eat at and when placing our order, I asked for the Big Poppy but asked if I could get mayo instead of the poppyseed honey mustard. the waitress said that while they do have mayo in the fridge, they cant actually give it to customers because its really for their sister property's recipes. Honestly, a simple, "Unfortunately we can't do that." would have sufficed.Once we got our food, it was very good and tasted fresh which was great. Our waitress, though, came to sit out nearby on the bar stools saying she doesn't normally do this but that she thought we were a "cool table" so she felt comfortable enough with us to sit there. Soon, another woman and a man who both worked for the restaurant joined her at the bar counter area, and whilemost of their conversations were okay, there was a part where the man (who was working on a laptop, so i assume he had to be some kind of manager or supervisor at least) made a comment that the James River had "feces in it"...super appetizing to hear during a meal! All in all, i really cant recommend coming here because while the food was great, the customer service was really really lacking. We left feeling unwelcome and like we were more of a nuisance than anything so I highly doubt we'll be making a trip back and will likely be telling others who travel to this area to skip this eatery. :(

Nice lunch place. The only plight I have is one of the waiters comments when I came from outside to ask about the waters/drinks to pick up for my party and I guess it wasn’t ready (which is fine because they mentioned before we sat that outside wasn’t full service) so I was just checking back after a few minutes, no biggie. When I’m walking out I hear one of them say “there’s six of you, it’s not ready”. Kinda uncalled for and the space isn’t large- so I heard it pretty well. Uncalled for, hence I thought I was doing the right thing to come in and pick up the beverage for my party if it wasn’t full service sitting outside. Still great food.

The BEST little Sunday brunch spot and the portions are ANYTHING but little! I loved the Got Your Goat biscuit with perfectly crispy chicken, creamy goat cheese & sweet pepper jelly! It was incredible! The Fried Green Tomatoes & Pimiento cheese are to die for! Coffee was so hot, fresh and strong! Our server was really friendly, pleasant and attentive! She even thought to offer me a coffee to go! (Yes please) We will be back soon! I was definitely glad we got there early because it did fill up around 10AM! This is one of Richmond’s BEST!Dietary restrictions: I really had hoped that they might have gluten-free biscuits so I could buy some to-go for my mom but sadly not. I’d LOVE to see that option added to the menu!

Biscuits so large, they steal the scene,In a true southern spot, cuisine's queen.Calories aplenty in each bite,A delight that's out of sight, yet feels just right. The hostess, though, lost in a brew,A spacey presence, without a clue. But servers step up, with smiles so keen,Saving the day, ensuring the scene's serene.
