My favorite spot here in RVA! Where else can you grab a tasty coffee AND snuggle tons of cute kittens? I volunteer through Purring Hearts and absolutely love getting to spend time with the cats. Staff are incredibly kind and the drinks have always been top tier. Can’t recommend it enough!

The cafe is walk-in with amazing vegan options and specialty drinks. The cat room is by appointment only to make sure it isn't overcrowded and the booking process is super easy.

Amazing sweet potato latte. I almost cried it was so good, and it's hard to keep up with the amazing RVA coffee scene. Love it and can't wait to continue coming back.

Absolutely lovely kitties, wonderful staff, tasty teas. Glad to have a cat cafe in the city again.

The ratio of people to cats was a little high but I had a good time and the drinks were very good!

wouldn’t let my friend reschedule or get a refund when a loved one passed suddenly. also extremely condescending over IG dm. :/ i understand prioritizing getting the cats adopted over satisfying every single customer but their behavior in this situation was unacceptable

Even though I wasn't a paying customer this small coffee shop has young ladies with compassion, doing laundry down the street at a coin laundry that had no restroom...thank you to The Purrfect Bean!!

The Purrfect Bean is, pun intended, purrfect. It's such a comforting place to be in. The staff is friendly, the kitties are cutie pies, and the drinks are amazing. I wish I lived closer so that I could be there everyday.

Excellent atmosphere, in a safe part of town. Has street parking, which is manageable if you know Richmond. 1 hour limit. Time with cats is fun! Read rules on site. Very good, don't be afraid to move around and interact with the kitties.

Yikes, this place is not wheelchair accessible in the year of our lord 2025. Not sure how that’s not an ADA violation, but assuming they’re skirting that legally on some kind of technicality. Legal or not, a big disappointment.

The reservations are almost always booked. If you can’t manage to get a reservation, it’s completely pointless.

Love supporting small businesses and animals but the disrespect from employees makes it a not very welcoming environment.

Went for the cats, but got turned down due to their reservations policy after buying my coffee that was weirdly put in a cup only half filled... seems wasteful and makes the coffee look very sad…

I politely recommended they should have signs up explaining the rules and how to make an appointment… said they had signs but forgot to put them out. Could have just said thanks for the feedback.

Employees could use a refresher in human interaction and emotional intelligence. I’m sure the cats are awesome tho.

Had the BEST experience all around at The Purrfect Bean cafe today. Street parking was easy, the sweet potato latte was one of the best lattes I’ve had in Richmond, and they had more cats than I’ve ever seen at a cat cafe (and it was still super clean.) I’ve been to cat cafes in different cities and states and this is by far my favorite. The lattes are a bit expensive, but worth it imo.
