Came back home for the weekend from Wilmington, NC where nobody has Sailor Sandwich on the menu. Grabbed it togo and it was even better than I remember!!! Love this sandwich, love this spot in the Fan!!!
One of only two late night options other than waffle house I’m aware of.. I was confused when I went the first time and saw the bartender from the other late night joint behind the bar! Yes he works both spots… I was there during a torrential downpour, but I could see that the outside patio would be lively on some nights. Breakfast is okay - this is a bar, not a brunch place. The eggs benedict equivalent was tasty, but they don't do poached eggs here. The atmosphere is good for a pub but not good for breakfast - dark, and the music is too loud.
