Minimal options for gluten free. Nice atmosphere

Dietary restrictions: Not a good gluten free option on menu

Service was great. Loved the "porch" area. I was disappointed that the breakfast potatoes weren't gluten free. They are listed as such on the menu, but they are fried in a shared fryer, so they are not gluten free. I ordered the grits instead, which tasted really weird. I couldn't pinpoint the spice they used. Just stick with salt and butter.

My friend and I grabbed one drink at this bar and had a horrible experience. We sat at the bar, ordered a drink and decided to play pool. Immediately we are told by one of the servers to “watch our language” because there were children in the bar. Keep in mind we were not belligerent idiots and, yes there were some curse words said, but we were in a bar grabbing an alcoholic …adult… drink. So, we then tried to be more mindful of our language while playing this game of pool. Note that we asked if someone complained and they said no. The pool table was too close to the wall, so I hit the wall with the stick by accident and said a curse word just under my breath. The server, who was hawking me the whole time, came back and told my friend to stop. We were then so upset with the atmosphere that we ended up not finishing our drinks, paid, and left. There was only one table with two kids not very close to us.

The staff are extremely rude and condescending. We could not play a match of pool without getting harassed every few minutes about our "language" when there was no one around us or complaining. We were keeping it quiet except the employees were helicoptering us for no reason the whole time.

I find that hotel restaurants generally are just satisfactory but this restaurant is the exception. It was an overall outstanding dining experience. It is located in an atrium and beautifully decorated in a farmhouse or French countryside setting and one's feels instantly comforted by the ambience. Even the cloth napkins are soft and cozy. The waitstaff was friendly, and attentive. We ate breakfast there and the food was delicious, plentiful, and artfully arranged on beautiful artisan plates. We lingered over coffee and it was the perfect morning to end our stay in Richmond. We would definitely come back here and highly recommend this restaurant.

I had the Catfish bites and the Roasted Lamb rack. Both were absolutely delicious.

I was staying at the Omni hotel and because I got in late, I decided to order from this restaurant because it was more convenient for me. I called the restaurant and placed the order and it was ready within 25 minutes. The service was amazing and the staff there were very polite. Unfortunately, the food was not the best. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken literally had no flavor whatsoever which was a disappointment. I highly recommend at least putting some seasoning for it to have flavor and not taste so bland. The fries had the most seasoning and were pretty decent. I decided not to order again from there and just ended up going to a local restaurant in the city.

Hotel tavern. Not enough staff. Food was adequate but nothing special. We were too exhausted to find a restaurant outside of the hotel. We reserved with an open table and that confused the server.

The Omni is beautiful, the food was delicious. All that said, I'll be back only because Stewart was the best server and an amazing human.

My wife and I are vegan and was surprised to see a vegan dish on the menu. "Veg Head Dirty Rice" One of my meat eating friends ordered it as well and loved it. When we come back to RVA, we will stay at the Omni and eat dinner at the Westham Tavern.

I have been here a few times and they seem to be really inconsistent. I've had a great meal and a pretty awful one with a not great server. This place is too expensive to not have their act together.

Unfortunately, they were out of avocados for avocado toast and no adjustments could be made to the grits in another. They seem to be unaware that some people choose not to eat meat, or are gluten intolerant. The menu is tone deaf for anything other than mainstream eating. The garnishes were "tired" and the bright spot for us was Stewart, our waiter. We won't dine here again.
