WPA went above and beyond for my wedding cake! Everything from the tasting to the final product went as smoothly as possible, and the cake itself was stunning & DELICIOUS (raspberry cake w/ lemon curd & vanilla buttercream) I don't have enough good things to say about the staff here, every person I was in contact with throughout the process was so kind and efficient. A million thanks to WPA for being part of this special day 🩷

Commented on their instagram to ask if they had pies available on the wednesday before thanksgiving. showed up at 9 am and waited in line for 30 minutes, they had pies on display. We got to the register and the lady says that all of the pies were spoken for. Clearly we are all in line for pies not the nasty stuff in the glass case!! could have handled it way better and told everyone that they did not have any more pies! annoying

The store is cute; the staff are friendly and welcoming. We saw lots of parents with their kids when we were there on a Saturday morning. We got two biscuits with ham and egg and no cheese, along with a spinach & feta pastry to go. The biscuit sandwiches were huge and filled us up easily. It was really good texture wise, but I’d prefer it to be less salty. I had to remove the ham slices to make the whole sandwich more edible to me. But I know this is just my personal preference. On the other hand, the spinach & feta pastry was phenomenal. I’d get it again! If you get coffee, there are half & half and oat milk for self service. .

Fast friendly service in a cozy environment. Delicious handmade muffins. Pear cobler was delicious! They also have savory breads stuffed with vegetables that are equally as divine. Highly recommend!

Everything I picked up from here (at a decent price point!) was... just alright. I got a slice of buttermilk pie, two caneles, and a pear-ginger muffin.
The buttermilk pie filling was smooth and custardy, which I loved, but the bottom crust was wet, gritty, and thick. The caneles tasted slightly burnt. I did like the crumble on top of the muffin, and the pear slices inside were a nice treat, but I wish I could've gotten a stronger ginger flavor.

Love WPA! Great food and great service! Met with Claire to discuss wedding cake plans and she makes the process SO easy. It’s also a great place for anyone with dietary restrictions. They are reasonably priced as well?
Amazing gluten-free pastries, pies & cakes! Even my partner who can eat gluten can't tell the difference. My only hope is they will have a more extensive coffee menu in the future. Either way, my favorite bakery for gluten-free pastries in RVA :)
