Amazing baked goods esp the gluten free and vegan options. I'm not either but still have those pastries. Best breakfast sandwich just south of the river. They have solid drip coffee and great decaf tea options from a local shop. I'd you're up the street at crossroads, get treats or breakfast here and the drink there. Nice for sit down quiet work session.

I wanted to come to WPA since they are one of the few bakeries that always carry gluten free items. The person behind the counter was in quite a rush and didn't greet us or really say hi. I'm not a big bread pudding fan but I wanted to try something different. They also had GF cookies, coffee cake, macarons and much more. I was pleasantly to see on the menu that they carry GF breakfast sandwiches as well. The bread pudding was okay. The Caramel honey glaze is what made it taste better. This is not something I would order again but I certainly would come back to try other items.

Went in last minute to grab a dessert option for a family dinner! Found a yummy cheesecake that was reasonably priced. Great service and many options for those with dietary restrictions! Will be back and hopefully will order ahead for events, parties, etc!

I ordered a strawberry cake and got a mystery flavor. It's been a month and we still don't know what the flavor is. The staff is nice and i like the coffee.

It's the okayest. The staff is just ok, not terribly friendly. The baked goods are just ok. The coffee is bad but the tea is ok. The bakery is sort of cute but also always looks kinda dirty. My mom is gluten free so we appreciate that part though!

This place is so cozy and in a good location - reachable, but a little outside the city hustle and bustle. We show up at 9am, which for bakeries is approaching late morning. I ordered a black coffee, and despite it being 9am, it was still fresh! Love that! They rebrew their coffee regularly; it can be hard for businesses to keep up with that. Another thing I love about that is they have the main nondairy milks available at the coffee station or by request complimentary for your coffee. Nice touch! The gluten free coffee cake is so good!! I also tried a paquette? I hope I spelled that right. It's one of their savory pastries; mine was with ham and cheese. My only complaint is... I asked about it, and wasn't warned there was mustard in it. It was nice, but didn't pair well with my black coffee. Mustard is a prominent flavor and not everyone cares for it, so it should have been mentioned when describing the item. If you need gluten free cakes, cupcakes, or pies for a birthday. I very much recommend WPA bakery. Be sure to give them 48 hours notice, and maybe a little more around weekends and holidays.

Found this little bake shop. Tried their PB&J pie. It tasted like I was eating a PBJ sandwich. The crust was sooo good. Love a good crust. Tried the Moroccan Mint tea. Tasted almost like a spearmint gum. Hubby really enjoyed the blueberry-pecan muffin. Nice find to satisfy our sweet tooth

I've tried a lot of gluten free places and for the most part it usually is edible but kind of tastes like paper. Not WPA bakery all of the gluten free items I tried were declious!! I've never had such a great experience with gluten free item! I tried the muffins, the coffee cake and the breakfast sandwich all of which were amazing!
used to be my favorite bakery when on "the Hill", now that the place has gone south [across the river], the quality of the offerings seems to have gone south also

What on earth are these beauties called canales? Never had them anywhere else. Soo soft yet chewy on the inside. I could eat the whole box but of course I shared them instead.

I ordered vegan cupcakes from here before and decided to order my child's birthday cake. This was a no brained when I learned that that have a dedicated section of their kitchen for vegan and allergen fre baking and creating. This was necessary for my child. The ordering process was so stressless. The hound woman that took the order allowed me to provide my ideas and assured that they could make what is possible, possible. The cake is a lemon cake with raspberry icing. It has to be Halloween themed and a last minute request form sprinkles was honored as well. I was able to pay ahead and that was easy also. We got a mini cake and it was more then enough to feed 6 people with generous slices. I am not vegan in any way shape or form, but the cake was tasted good. It was moist and dense, but still soft and tasty. The icing was good. I never had raspberry icing and I am not a fan of raspberries, but the cake altogether was good. I also bought a pastry the day that I paid for the cake. Please do no ask me what if is called because I do kid remember. I know it has spinach, feta, and artichoke inside a flaky pastry. I warmed it up for about 30 seafoods when I got home and .... MY GOSH!!!! I will continue to get pastries and goodies here.

My husband and I tried this spot our first day in Richmond and liked it so much we went back 3 out of 4 days we were in town. The breakfast sandwiches, caneles and paquets (sp?) were all good but it was the muffins that kept us coming back. The blackberry pecan and banana coconut chocolate chip are some of the best I've had. A must-try for fans of sweet treats.

Omg I literally cannot even describe how AMAZING this place is!! We ordered our wedding cake from them and it was soooooo good!!!! The staff is super professional and they were able to accommodate some dietary restrictions for some of our guests. I cannot say enough nice things about this place and will continue to order my cakes from them in the future!!
