The brisket sandwich is probably the best sandwich I’ve had in my life.
Frijoles are very good too
Highly recommended
I would advise to go early, there is always a line but totally worth the wait!

Some of the best BBQ in Richmond and almost every time we come the owner is out mingling with patrons and striking up conversations.

We'd come more often though if the lunch lines weren't always so long, seems like adding another meat slicer would help.

Best damn Bar-B-Que I’ve ever had. We traveled from Florida and found this place from some friends. It was so good I had packed some in my check in luggage to bring back with me on the plane. We got home and it was still damn good. 👍🏾

Came to Richmond from the northeast and got it. Filling sides. Enjoyed the cookie of the week. Line moved fast. It would be enhanced if they had someone taking orders in the line and ready to fulfill when getting to the counter.

We planned a day trip to Richmond (2 hours away) to meet up with family and included this spot on our food tour. When we arrived, there was a sign saying the restaurant was closed for a private event. There was no indication on their website or on Google Maps that they would be closed.

If the restaurant wants to hold private events, that is perfectly fine, but please mark those closures on your schedule or update your hours so people know to call ahead. It would have saved a lot of time and disappointment.

This is a Triple D restaurant. On Sat, try the lamb. The sides are very good. Great flavors, all around

Best BBQ in Virginia in my opinion. My favorite is the turkey breast, mac and cheese, and cornbread. If you are in Richmond check this place out.

Moist melt in your mouth brisket. Sausage was great, collard greens (with their red chili vinegar!) was delicious and the potato salad too! Was excited to eat and forgot to take pictures but if bbq is your thing, you MUST stop in at ZZQ’s.

Best brisket, pulled pork, and house made sausages in Va and the East Coast. Possibly the best in the country.

Best Texas BBQ I've had outside of Texas. They have beef rib! They had a beef cheek special that was to die for. But they have actual southern sides like collards and a knock your socks off dill potato salad. Genuinely incredible, what an amazing find. Dreaming about when I can go back.

Great food great service. Top notch Chicken and Brisket, but don't sleep on the caviar and charro beans. No wait on a Wednesday morning which made to experience that much better.
