Had a bunch of dark beers, they were great! Andrea was our bartender & she was great too!
Awesome brewery with a fun atmosphere and a large outdoor space. Great selection of beers.
Great suds !! Carla is an excellent hostess
I wasn't there to long. But it seemed like a nice place.
Brilliant pub. Great beer, relaxed vibe, and friendly folk.
If the weather is nice there is no better place to hang out and have a beer than their outdoor seating area. It's extremely nice, and the beer here is probably the best you're going to find in Roanoke. The staff is great, and their growlers are reasonably priced. They don't stay open very late, so be sure to get there early.
I can’t say enough good things about AFOG. I arrived after a long day of hiking and driving the parkway. Everyone at the bar on a Sunday evening seemed to know each other - and instead of ignoring me, they welcomed me right in. I mentioned that I was hungry to the point of hangry, and all of a sudden people were sharing their homemade smoked pork butt that they had brought with (I dont think AFOG serves food).
Carla was a charm at the bar. Oh - the beers were excellent too. 🤣
Upscale brewery with great indoor seating and plenty of outdoor space. Impressive Taproom offering a wide selection of beers, including flights. I would recommend the flights since there are so many choices on tap. Lakers and pilsner were very good as well as the porter which is highly recommended.
Good beer!
I am never disappointed when I stop in at AFOG. I was only there for a few minutes this time but enjoyed myself all the same. Curtis is an absolute doll of a human and the beer is always amazing.

Delicious beer, good vibes and surprisingly super fast wifi!
As we wandered around Roanoke, VA, my wife stumbled upon a brewery with a name that just begs you to check it out—A Few Old Goats Brewing. Naturally, we had to go in! At first glance, the place looks like an old school building, but it’s actually a really cool combo of a brewery and apartment complex. Don’t let the exterior fool you—this spot is a gem. Inside, there’s a great selection of craft brews, and the outdoor seating area was a total delight. Laid-back vibes, great beer, and a memorable name. Highly recommend stopping by!
Best beer! Best owners! Best outdoor seating! Cool, calm and delicious! Need I say more!
