This place is a slice of Roanoke history bundled with lovely customer service and delicious food. It’s definitely my new favorite place for a quiet and peaceful cup of coffee!
I've been eating here off and on for 37 years. It's so good you always go back, time after time.
A friendly little diner in downtown. Good food and run by the nicest couple.

Old timey diner, really enjoyed our food. I had a bacon egg n cheese sandwich, and my son had a Philly cheese steak he enjoyed.
The staff seemed to know their customers
Delicious and family owned! I love supporting small business. It reminds me of the diners in Massachusetts.
Great little mom and pop restaurant that's been around for 70 odd years. Had the 1/4 pd hamburger and it was really good and quite large. They're sweet tea is really good, reminds me of the sun tea my dad used to make growing up. The deco on the interior looks like it's been there since the restaurant opened in 1948, and I like that. The server was the third generation Aesy.

Immediately greeted by two very kind people from behind the counter. I'm assuming they are the owners. Nice clean diner style place. Simple comfort food menu. Delicious breakfast -- we ordered eggs, bacon and toast to go. I'll definitely return to try a lunch item, probably a cheeseburger FYI the veggie boxes on the seats are to keep your tootsie from getting cold LOL!.

Female owner is slow and rude to some patrons (like me), polite to others. Ordered a sausage biscuit to go. When I went to pick up a few extra napkins she remarked "he already put napkins in the bag." When I looked there was 1 napkins. Also, they charge .25 cents for an empty Styrofoam cup. This is not the 1st time the the female owner was rude to me. Biscuit was dry and falling apart. Won't ever go back.

If you plan on lunch...don't bother. Closes at noon or not open at all. Once a favorite is no longer an option
