Alexander's is in downtown Roanoke and was a 6 minute walk over the railroad bridge from the Hotel Roanoke. Our dinner at the Alexander was amazing! The staff was welcoming and warm and we were quickly shown to our table. I would recommend making a reservation, as it is a small place and it was full the night we went. What a gift to Roanoke to have this 35 yo restaurant still thriving! Being retired lets us go out on a week night! We go early for quiet, great service and the benefits of a non busy kitchen. A must visit for locals and visitors!
Consistently one of the best restaurants in the region. We have eaten here four times on our way south. Service is excellent food is farm table and appropriate for the season. It's nice to see a restaurant that can maintain high standards in this day and age.
