The FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! Amazing! I stay picking up food. I just picked up an order to go for my boss to try bc he loves Jamaican food, especially Jerk chicken. I got the rice and beans, cabbage, and I ALWAYS get a side of yams. He ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. This place might be catering one of our Lunch and Learns. Everything is great. Please try them, this combination and ESPECIALLY the SNAPPER. Chefs kiss.

This was one of The greatest meals I have ever had. I got the oxtails with collard greens and plantains as sides. Absolutely sublime. The oxtails were perfect fall off the bone goodness. I drank every drop of the juice when I was done with them. The collard greens were the best I have ever had. Just a hint of jerk spice in them. The service was lovely. They were closed when I first got to Roanoke but the owner was outside loading up some stuff in his car and saw me staring at the picture of the oxtails in the window. He came up to talk to me and gave me a card. I told him I would be back the next day to get the oxtail. When I came in two days later he remembered me and came out to chat. Lovely people. Lovely place. Go there. Eat well. Be happy.

I highly recommend this place! While I was in town for work, a coworker and I decided to dine here. The food was exceptional; I ordered the fried red snapper, and it was truly the best snapper I've ever had. Just to provide some context, I live in South Florida, where there are many Jamaican restaurants available. I was very impressed with the flavors and very reasonably priced! A MUST try!

Been hearing about this place for a long while and finally went . The food here, atmosphere, the employees were all 10/10 everyone was so nice even the beautiful drinks are soooo good. I got for lunch the oxtails with rice, beans and plantains and then i ended up getting some food to go as well! If you like some good food and wanna have a taste of the Caribbean this is the spot !!

Had a family member bring me Jerk Salmon, Fried Plantains, and potato salad. I was so disappointed in what I received. I have never had plantains served to me as dry and lazily sliced as what's shown in the picture. If I didn't loathe going downtown so much, I would have taken this back and asked for the cook to explain themselves because this was absolutely horrible effort on such a staple side dish. There was no flavor at all and if it had not been for the potato salad being somewhat wet, I do believe I found something drier than a Popeyes biscuit....this includes the dry jerk salmon as well.My daughter was equally disappointed with her overly oily ox tail, bland and dry Mac and cheese, and greens made with sugar ?.

Decided to stop by to try this spot for the first time though I’ve seen it I’ve never stopped in. It was amazing! From the time I walked in I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome and sat. I ordered a 3 plate veggies entree and had collard greens, baked mac and cheese, and the candied yams. On the side I had a beef patty and coco bread. It was all wonderful & seasoned perfectly. My personal favorite was the candied yams they had a slight cinnamon flavor and they were very sweet and cooked to the perfect consistency they were delicious. The coco bread was warm and had a hint of sweetness to it! It was delicious. I also tried a Caribbean cream soda that was yummy too! The staff was very sweet and involved. It was more than just my 1 server that continuously checked on me. Even a cook came out and asked how everything was. Very cool atmosphere, kind staff, and delicious food! I can’t wait to go back!

Got the oxtails jerk salad plantain and the henny chicken wings…. Ok first I’m from Texas let’s just say it’s not the same. The wings didn’t really taste the honey or the henny just tasted like baked chicken, the salad just ok the oxtails were ok… and no utensils what so ever no napkins customer service was good spent 60

I ordered food for my annual pre-Christmas celebration. I ordered a full pan of cabbage, and rice & bean, 1/2 pan of the stew chicken and the jerk chicken. All of the dishes were hot when I picked them up. And my guest really enjoyed all the dishes. I especially like the cabbage, rice and beans and stew chicken. The jerk chick was good too but a little too spicy for me and my husband. I woukd certainly order again! He gave me a sample of the sweet tea and ievreminded me of the tea my mom use to make! It was so good!! Because they close on Mondays, I had to pick it up and pay a $25 fee. But that was okay! If you are picking up a catered order, I would suggest, you have something to put the hot container in for transporting it to your location.
